It was the first day of summer vacation, and things were...okay I guess. It just felt like a day where you don't have to go to school, like Memorial Day or a small American holiday like such.

I pulled my honey blonde hair into a side braid, knowing it was pretty summer-y. I decided to shoot Lexi a text since I was bored out of my mind, so I grabbed my Samsung Galaxy S5 and typed quicker than when David ran into me.

Hey, what are you doing?

Then, I fell backwards onto my memory foam mattress, replaying when David touched me over...and over...and over again.

"Bzzt bzzt," my phone buzzed.

I'm "chillin on dat beach" as the "cool kids" say. Lol

...no one says that. I believe the term you mean is "beachin'" I replied. As I set my phone down, it instantly vibrated.

Wow, that was quick..for once. I snickered.

UNKNOWN NUMBER

Hey, this is David Romano. I just really wanna apologize for yesterday. What do ya say..wanna grab some pizza later?

wat.

Somewhere in an alternate universe, Catalina Johnson was taking this casually and David was the one freaking out. However, this is not the alternate universe, I had forgotten how to breathe which is something I've done since I was born.

Won't your girlfriend get mad?

I pressed send, knowing that after that, he'll just drop it. Stephanie is the snobbiest, rudest, most selfish, and jealous person alive.

She actually left for vacation in Paris and she'll be gone for two weeks so I'm free haha!

fml.

...okay. What time?

If someone were to ask me how my summer vacation was going as of right now, I'd scream in their face and run away.

How's 6?

It was currently 2:34.

Sounds super! See you soon

I slapped my cheek. Way to hit him with the dumbest aliteration.

Cool cucumbers! Can't wait!

Oh my gosh he did it back. He did it back. I'm not replying..I need to go shave and do other stuff.

*****

My time was running short. It was currently 5:42 and I was definitely ready. I was wearing some white shorts with a braided brown belt paired with a loose orange and blue floral tank top. I put on some coral gladiators and a metal bracelet with flowers.

I left my hair in its natural state since I had washed it, so it was really wavy. I pinned my bangs back. I powdered on some foundation and swiped on some Covergirl Clump Crushing mascara to bring out my green-hazel eyes.

What's up with me and aliterations today?!

I went downstairs and clicked on the TV as I waited.

Becoming suddenly interested in the N.C.I.S. Los Angeles episode I was watching, I forgot I was going out. So I guess you could say that the knock on the door was enough to send me flying off my couch.

I quickly dusted off myself and I rushed to the door only to be greeted by the smile every girl in school would kill to see just outside of their door.

"Hello," he chimed smoothly.

"Oh, uh, hi!" hi? Who even says that anymore?!?

"Well..we should get going!" he giggled gesturing towards his truck. He had a 2010 GMC Sierra all lifted and stuff and it was red and perfect.
