Genny woke up with a mop of red hair in her face. She pushed Charlie's head away, which gave him a rather rude awakening. Charlie grumbled before falling asleep on his own pillow. Genny rolled her eyes and snuck out of the room in her pjs. She went downstairs to find Harry and Ron asleep on the couches in the living room and Ginny asleep in the recliner. Hermione had fallen asleep on a chair.
"Well, I see I missed something last night," she mumbled. Harry woke up, startled.
"Blimey Harry! You have the ears of a bat!" Genny whispered.
"Na. I was already awake." Harry said and got up. Genny grabbed his hand and led him outside.
Harry was in awe of the sheer size of the gardens behind the mansion.
Genny tugged at his hand and they went to a small part of the garden with a weeping willow tree.
"Close your eyes," Genny said and Harry preceded to do so. He felt the bark of the tree underneath his finger. Genny rubbed his finger around some bumps that Harry inferred were letters. There were four of them and they were surrounded by a shape that Harry thought was a heart.
Harry smiled."Open them," Genny said. Harry did so and to his great delight he realised the tree was covered in initial Genny had had him feel a LE + JP with a heart around them. There were other initials on the tree though. It looked as if the heart drawn around Lily and James' s initials had been carved in later. There was a SB, RL, PP, AP, FL, MM, CE, DL and another MM.
"Who are the AP, FL, CE, DL and MMs for?" Harry asked.
"Alice Prewitt, Frank Longbottom, Connor Evans, Daisy Lestrange, Marlene McKinnon, and Mary McDonald. I found this tree the summer before I met Charlie at the Sanctuary." Genny said. Harry nodded, his fingers hovering over his parent's initials. Genny smiled and put her hands on his shoulders.
"I'm sure they are extremely proud of us Harry. Very proud indeed." Genny said. Harry nodded and flicked a tear from his eye.
"I'm glad I have you now," Harry said.
"Yes, me too. Now, Mr Potter. I would like to see our father's room. Lead the way." Genny commanded, with a slightly funny tone.
Harry laughed and grabbed her hand.
"And off we go!" Genny said. They went up the stairs and into a corridor.
"That there's Sirius' s room. And that one's Aunt Daisy's." Harry said pointing to two doors. Genny mentally noted that she should check those out. They came to the end of the hall. "And here's Dad's," Harry said.
"You know when I first came here I looked for dad's room but couldn't find it," Genny said.
They opened the door and the moment she set eyes on the room, her mouth formed a huge smile.
"It's kinda messy right now. Since I've been using it. But it was also messy before I came." Harry said.
"This is pretty much exactly as I imagined it," Genny said.
