"Genny! Hurry up! We have to get Rolf to the train station!" Diana Scamander shouted at her adopted daughter.

"Why do I have to go?" Genny complained from her room

"Because you are supporting your brother now spit spot." her mother replied.

Genny sighed, if only she had magic. Then she would be going on the train to Hogwarts too. She walked downstairs to the living room and saw Patrick Scamander sitting in his favorite chair reading the newspaper. He was the father figure in her life like Diana was her mother figure. Rolf wasn't her blood brother but everyone she knew referred to them as siblings, including herself.

Patrick Scamander had dark brown hair and the deepest blue eyes Genny had ever seen. He was quite tall, lanky and very old-fashioned.  He also sported a pair of reading glasses. Genny absolutely loved the father-daughter time they got every once and a while. However, Patrick was often away for his job. He was quite the Auror and very high in the ranks.

Diana Scamander had strawberry blonde hair and the darkest brown eyes. She had the best smile that always brightened Genny's day. She was average in height and weight. She always wore the modern mom wear as she called it.  Diana and Genny were very close. Diana also would be the one to teach Genny at home while Rolf was off at Hogwarts.

Rolf was a mix of his parents. He had light brown hair and eyes. Genny loved his smile as much as his mother's. He was tall but with an average weight. He and Genny spent a lot of their time together and talked to each other about everything from pennies to girls/boys.

Patrick looked up from the paper and saw Genny. He laughed and stood up. "Why so down faced? You're supposed to be the optimistic one around here."

"I wish I was going." Genny said as Patrick pulled her into a hug. Genny smelt the familiar scent of wood in his clothes and smiled.

"I know sweetheart. I wish you could go too. Heck, I wish you could go to a normal school. But you know that would-"

"-be incredibly stupid and dangerous." Genny finished, rolling her eyes.  It was dangerous for her to be enrolled in a school since her parents were war heroes that died. The world had no idea they had two children, it only thought they had one, Genny's brother Harry. He also had no clue she existed. Complicated, that was what her life was. Complicated. She had gone to primary school but with Rolf gone their parents thought it was best if she stayed home.

"Patrick! Genny! Hurry up and come downstairs! We can't be late!" Diana said as she walked in the room to find the father and adopted daughter ready to go in the living room. It took her awhile to realise who exactly was making them late.

"ROLF! Hurry up! We are waiting for you!" Diana said. She was holding everyone's coats and handed Genny and Parick theirs. "Diana, why do we have to wear coats?"

"Because it's alot colder in England than in Romania." Diana said simply.

Genny didn't feel like arguing. Rolf had just come in the room and Genny jumped up and gave him a hug. The two didn't need words to express how much they were going to miss each other as tears started to swell in their eyes. Nevertheless, words were spoken.

"I'm going to miss you so much. " They said at the same time and Genny gave a weak laugh. The adults held the 11 year olds' hands and apparated to King's Cross Station. As they approached the platform, Genny's heart began to drop. He was really going. It wasn't some joke or prank.

Rolf stopped walking as he approached the wall. Genny caught up with him and held his cart with him. They had a slight conversation and ran through the platform together. Immediately, the hustle and bustle of the 9 and 3/4 rang in their ears. There was traces of magic everywhere. From broomsticks to candy from Honeydukes. Rolf put his luggage in the train and found their parents. Genny marveled at the amount of magic she had been seeing.

Suddenly, a rather tall boy with flaming red hair accidentally bumped into Genny causing her to fall. He was shouting at his mum who was giving him all sorts of instruction. He looked down at her.

"I'm so sorry. I really should be more careful. I'm Charlie. Charlie Weasley." He said and helped her back up.

"Thanks. I'm G-"

"Genevieve! Your brother is boarding the train!" she heard her mother shout.

"Genevieve?" Charlie finished for her.

"Yeah Genevieve Scamander. It's a pleasure to meet you, Charlie! Bye!" She said and ran off to Diana.

Charlie noticed a piece of paper on the ground. He picked it up. It was a picture of a dragon. It was quite detailed too as if it had been drawn in front of a real dragon. He figured it was Genevieve's and went to go return it to her but couldn't find her. He pocketed it and figured he'd give it to her brother if he could find out who her brother was anyway. He boarded the train and found Nymphadora Tonks in a compartment. "Hey Tonks!" Charlie said and sat down across from her.

Rolf, on the other hand was having a hard time finding a spot to sit down and conveniently ended up bumping into Charlie when he was walking around. Charlie asked Rolf if he wanted to sit with him and Tonks, to which he nodded his head.

Rolf sat down and introduced himself.

"I'm Rolf Scamander." He said. Tonks gave him a smile. "Patrick Scamander's son?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"I'm Charlie. You don't happen to be related to a Genevieve Scamander do you?" Charlie said and took out the drawing.

"Yeah. She's my adopted sister." He said and saw the drawing. "And you must be the bloke she bumped into. She said you were super nice. She'll be very happy when she gets this back." He said and put the drawing in his bag.

Charlie smiled. "So is she going to Hogwarts next year?"

Rolf shook his head and frowned. "No, sadly she's a squib. But she's one of the best people you'll meet."

"I believe you." Charlie said.
