At the Burrow, Molly began fixing up rooms for her guests, who sat down in the living room.
"Remus, you asked me who my birth parents were right? I want you to guess." Genny said, sitting across from Remus and Tonks on a rather comfy chair.
Remus's brain began tugging on itself until he realised that in the rush of loosing Lily and James, there was one Potter who wasn't accounted for. His goddaughter. He had never actually seen her but agreed to be her godfather in a letter written by Lily and James. He suspected though that they had done something with her before they died, however, since Hagrid had only picked up Harry and certainly wouldn't have left her there. It would make sense then that this would be her seeing as Genny had been adopted. The memory that affirmed his suspicions was that he remembered her name being Genevive Lily Potter and he realised she had similar looks to her parents.
"Merlin's Beard." Remus mumbled.
"What's wrong?" Tonks asked, very confused.
"What's your guess?" Genny asked, her eyes twinkling mirroring his mother's, which just added to Remus's suspicions.
"Your middle name is Lily isn't it?" He asked. Genny nodded her head, a huge smile forming on her face.
Tonks grew impatient and gave Remus a look.
"My guess is Lily and James Potter." Remus said, earning a wild look from Tonks and a confirming nod from Genny.
"Who the bloody hell knows?" Tonks asked, recalling that Remus had told her his goddaughter had been killed.
"The Scamanders, you two and Charlie." Genny said, "And that's how I want to keep it for now. Once Harry defeats Volde-You Know Who then I'll tell him. I don't want him to feel responsible for me, especially considering that I'm just now starting to learn magic."
"What do you mean you're just learning magic?" Remus asked.
"Remus, she was a squib until about 2 months ago." Tonks said. "Remember. Charlie told us about her."
"Then I was put in a life-threatening situation that basically forced the magic out of me." Genny said.
"No. It wasn't the situation, it was your uncle." Remus said tugging at his memories more.
"What?! Uncle Vernon?"
"No, your Uncle Conner. Lily's brother. He's married to your Aunt Daisy, who's James's honorary older sister. The last letter I got from Lily said he was going to do some weird magic barrier spell on you so the ministry couldn't find you. It was supposed to last until you were 18, unless something drastic happened to you or him. "
Genny was very confused, as was Tonks. Why would the ministry be after her?
"The ministry is after you because, like your Uncle Connor, you were born with the power to see into people's memories, and can have conversations with people in their heads." Remus said, unknowingly answering Genny's and Tonk's question.
"I can read people's minds?" Genny said in amazement. Remus nodded, "you did it when you were a year old. at least that's what Lily said."
"Amazing." Tonks said, then yawned. "Anyway, I need rest and so do you, Missy" She said and pointed at Genny who sighed as Mrs. Weasley came in the room and agreed with Tonks.
Genny was put in Charlie's room, which she absolutely loved. There were pictures of Romania and the dragons all around it. She could tell Mrs. Weasley cleaned it up a bit since she knew Charlie's room could never be this clean. She laid down and thought of everything that happened today. Suddenly she heard a voice in her head.
