Alexis Jones was a normal twelve year old orphan until one day her life...
Alex's pov Just like yesterday I woke up to birds chirping outside my window. I keep getting the feeling that today is somehow special & that something or someone is missing out. Stretching out my bones, I yawned. Last night's sleep was very relaxing. I sat on my bed for a minute then grabbed my Ipod turning on the music. I let the shower get hot while I got my clothes & needed essentials. I hopped in after stripping off my clothes. "Be Concerned" by Twenty One Pilots came on Spotify. I started rapping, massaging conditioner into my hair. I turned off the water & grabbed my towel drying off. I put my hair up & got dressed going downstairs. I found a plate of cinnamon pancakes on the table. Mmm, my favorite I drizzled the pancakes in syrup taking a bite. "Oh my goodness gracious this is so good" I said to myself. I started choking when I heard laughing behind me. I thought I was the only one in the house. "Oh, sweetie are you okay?" Phil asked concern laced in his voice. "Yeah, I'm okay you just scared me" I said looking to where Dan was now sitting. "I'm sorry, we didn't mean to" he said with a tiny smile. "It's fine" I said laughing lightly. After we all ate Dan & Phil had a surprise for me. Why would they buy me anything? Today is not a special day or at least I don't think so. "Happy Birthday Sweetheart! " Dan said handing me a little box. By them doubleing over in laughter i could tell I had shock written all over my face. "You didn't have to get me anything, just adopting me was enough" I said wanting to cry happy tears. "Yes we did, now open it" they insisted. I took the box & unwrapped it finding the most beautiful bracelet. I took it out carefully admiring the beauty of it. "Dan & I have the other half on, so we could match" Phil said excitedly.

When I saw the matching bracelets I jumped unto Dan & Phil. Tears running down my face & said " I love you, thank you so much" "We love you too" they said holding me. I feel loved for the first time in my life. • • • • • "Hey darling, can you come down here please?" Phil asked. I walked down & sat on the couch where they were. "Yes?" I asked politely. " Would you like to go over to Chris & Pj's house? They recently adopted a girl around your age who they want you to meet." Dan informed me. "Sure, when we leaving?" I asked excitedly. Even though I had just met them a day after I came, we became friends. I wonder who they adopted? Could it possibly be Riley? Probably not but I could only hope. "We can go now if you want?" He said looking over at Phil then me. We started walking over to their house two blocks away from us. I rung the doorbell & Pj opened the door. "Hey munchkin, how you doing?" He said patting my head. I laughed & said "I'm doing good & I'm not a munchkin." He let us in, going over to the living room sitting beside Chris. "Happy Birthday munchkin!" They yelled handing me a bag. I rolled my eyes & thanked him. I opened it up & found blue & green hair dye. "Awesome I love it! Thank you" I said happily, standing up to give him a hug. "No problem" he said chuckling. A girl walked down the stairs & said "Are the guest here already?" She sounded just like Riley & had the same hair color, skin color, height ect. She looked up when she got to the last step & I couldn't believe it. It was Riley. I got up off the couch & we started running towards each other almost falling down in the process. "I'm guessing you two know each other?" Everyone said looking down at us confused. "Do we ever?" She said her voice squeaking. I laughed & said "Dan, Phil do you remember when I told you about my friend Riley?" I asked smiling even wider. Realization came over their face making them say "That's her?" "Yes,it is. This person right here is my best friend" I said hugging her from the side. Riley & I decided to catch up so she got to spend the night. We talked about everything & anything just like we had before. Nothing changed & for that I'm extremely thankful. "Goodnight, Al" Riley said sleepily. "Goodnight, Ri" I replied staring at the ceiling. This day couldn't of went any better I thought falling into a peaceful sleep.
