Perry knew something was wrong before he even left his house. The Aether had bits of red in it, and he felt a prickling sensation behind his nose. The feeling he gets when there is a storm nearby. He also felt there was something wrong with Aria. Because he is rendered to her, he could feel that she was worried somehow, even though he had no idea where she was at that moment. He swept the falcon carvings from his desk to put in his satchel, and grabbed Talon's bow. All of his other stuff was moved to the cave already.

Perry walked over to Cinder and smiled. He thought it was kind of cute how Molly was taking care of him. And that he seemed like he belonged there. Perry left the house to look for the Six. He was sidetracked when Marron walks up to him.

"Where's Kirra?" Perry asked. Something about not knowing where she was at all times made him feel queasy.

"Why, Peregrine, didn't you know? She left just a moment ago. Quite in a rush, actually."

He walked back up to the house and found Twig tied up.

"I tried to stop them, Perry. They took Cinder."

Perry cursed. "Kirra?"

Twig nodded and Perry stormed out of the room. So much for deciding to trust her.

Half an hour later Perry found himself handing over the Blood Lord chain to Marron.

Marron's eyes widened. "Peregrine?"

"You have to watch over them for me when I'm gone. I don't want to take this with me."

"I'll take it for now, but know it's yours again when you get back."

Perry mounted onto his horse and rode away through the woods with Twig. Perry wouldn't give up until he found Cinder. They rode on for a few hours when movement further in the woods caught his eye. Adrenaline sparked in him as he rode his horse full speed towards who he thought was Kirra, Twig trailing behind him. He stopped abruptly. It wasn't Kirra. It wasn't any of her men.

Twig rode up next to him. "What do you see, Perry?"

He couldn't believe what—who he saw. "Roar and Aria," he paused, taking in who he saw next. "And my sister."

They rode closer, doing anything he could to get there faster without startling them. Aria and Roar turned at the same time, both hearing the horse's clomping footsteps with their powerful ears. And then Liv did. She looked older to Perry, wiser, but she was still who he remembered her as. The girl who teased him ever since he could remember. The sister  who never blamed him for their mother's death.

Roar smiled, Aria's eyes lit up, and Liv stood there, tears in her eyes. He rode up closer to them and got off his horse.

"Liv!" Perry ran up to hug her, but she pulled back.

"We don't have any time, Perry. Reverie is crumbling and Talon's in there." Liv looked back at Roar.

Aria ran up to him. "Perry, we have to go. Soren contacted me. I'll go with you, and Roar and Liv will walk back to the compound."

"I'll go look for Kirra and her men," Twig shouted over his shoulder.

Perry helped Aria onto the horse, and they rode away towards Reverie. She slipped her arms around his waist for balance. Even though Reverie was crumbling, and he had to be focused, he couldn't be happier with Liv home and Aria with her arms around him.

Authors Note:

Hey! Did you like this chapter? I had a LOT of fun writing this one. Sorry Perry and Liv didn't have the big reunion! Maybe there will be one next chapter? (hint, hint) I would love to hear what you have to say! Leave me a comment with your thoughts and maybe some events I should have in the following chapters!
