Isang linggo na akong pumapasok sa Montello High and the past days were really eventful. I messed up with the two gangster groups in the school, got into fights, and witnessed two armed strangers in the Nightwoods. Considering my luck, I wondered if things could still get worse.

It was Saturday morning so I decided to spend more time on my bed. Screw the homework, food, and all the other stuff! Magunaw man ang mundo sa mismong sandaling ito ay hindi ako paiistorbo sa aking pagtulog. Kahit bigyan nila ako ng isang guwapong prince charming ay hindi ako magigising. I'd stab myself with poisoned needles like a damn acupuncture and sleep again.

"Summer!"

Or not. Crap! Give me that prince charming now so I could needle him to death and end this world.

"Summer, wake up!"

I groaned and covered my face with a pillow. Now I knew why these weak-looking roommates of mine were shipped to Montello High. They were rude, inconsiderate bitches who didn't respect people who were sleeping. I bet other schools wouldn't accept them because of their lack of manners!

"Do you guys have a death wish?" galit kong banta nang hilahin nila ang unan na tumatabing sa aking mukha. Hindi ko kaagad maimulat ang aking mga mata dahil sa liwanag na nanggagaling sa nakabukas na bintana.

"Sorry, Summer! Tanghali na kasi. We have to wake you up to make sure that you're still alive," nahihimigan ko ang pagtawa ni Mirden sa kaniyang tinig.

"Also, do you want to come with us sa sixth floor mamayang gabi? Black Government will be hosting a party. It will be fun!" puno ng eksaytment na tanong ni Jamie.

The week had been hell to me and I was supposed to rest today. But they were waking me up to make sure that I would still wake up and invite me to an event that would not happen until nighttime. That should be illegal!

"I'm not interested!" I snapped. "Leave me alone." At saka muling kinuha ang unan at niyakap. If Montello High's idea of party was just like the bloody welcome party the Dark Monarch gave me, then I had enough of it. I would rather sleep!

But of course, kailangan kong bawiin ang aking mga sinabi dahil kinagabihan ay natagpuan ko ang sariling nasa sixth floor at umiinom ng beer kasama sina Mirden at Jamie. I concluded that this particular space was made for the entertainment of the Montello High junior and senior students. And although they didn't serve hard drinks, sapat na ang mga fruit juices, beers, at cocktail drinks upang makapag-aliw ang mga estudyante. Idagdag pa na maganda ang taste sa music ng bandang tumutugtog sa platform na nagsisilbing stage ng lugar. It was like a mini club for students. Walang teachers subalit sabi ni Mirden ay may ilang student council members ang narito upang magbantay.

Bagaman at walang unipormeng ipinasusuot sa mga estudyante ng Montello High, nagawa pa rin ng mga narito ang mag-dress up. Ang ilan sa mga babaeng nagsasayaw ay halos wala nang itago sa suot nilang seductive dresses. Ang mga lalaki naman ay halatang nag-effort para sa kanilang porma. May mangilan-ngilang estudyante naman na narito lang upang uminom at makinig sa musika at siguro ay kabilang na kami roon maliban na lang kay Jamie na may party man o wala ay nananatiling fashionable pagdating sa kasuotan.

"Will that blue lemonade make you tipsy, Mirden?" tukso ni Jamie kay Mirden. Hindi kasi nito ginagalaw ang beer na binili ni Jamie.

"Are you going to take care of me if I throw up?" ganting tanong naman ni Mirden. Isang tawa lang ang isinagot ni Jamie. Ako naman ay kaswal na kinuha ang beer sa tapat ni Mirden at inilagay sa tabi ng akin. They didn't allow hard liquors here, so I shouldn't let any alcohol content go to waste.
