Chapter 16 [The Only Way..]

You and Cross landed in the void where Cross was staying as you stumbled back and pulled your arm away from Cross. "What is wrong with you? Chara could've died!" You yelled, letting your emotions out. Cross frowned from the way you were acting and sighed. "Look, It's the only Way to get us safe." "Us? We aren't even a thing!" Cross' expression darkened as he felt like his soul was torn into two like yours. Cross was speechless as you continued to glare daggers at him. Cross stared at the ground, black eye sockets as the atmosphere was dark. You were in LOVE pain as well. You had feelings for him ever since, but now... You couldn't tell.

You sighed as you walked the opposite way where Cross was still. You felt like tears were forming in your eyes but you stayed DETERMINED to hide it. Your heart was aching with pain as you continued to walk. Memories flashed in your head when you met, Where you sacrificed your life from him.. When you reunited, told us the truth.. Tears were burning in your eyes as you kept them from falling. "Why?" You asked your self. You were like a few feet away from Cross.

Then, you felt a large pain in your chest. Your arm immediately trembled to your chest as you clutched on to your cloth. Cross ran up to you yelling at you, and asking you so many questions at once. You couldn't barely hear him but pain was covering your vision. You felt a flash of an image.

'Chara..?'

Your eyes widen from the image that was shown. You released the hand that was clutching onto your chest and stared at it. It glitched into Chara's hand and soon glitched back to you. Chara... He was half of your soul..  "(Y/N)?" A voice called out. You felt the atmosphere get lighter. You felt a presence in front of you as you looked to your left to see nothing. You stood up slowly as you stared at the person who was in front of you. "Frisk?"

  Hm.. Somethings not right.. I sighed as I continued to walk through the void. 'What to do... I could stalk a few AU's or maybe destroy one..' I thought. I continued to walk around the anti-void as I stoped and felt a glitched presence. "H-H-Huh.." I walked where the I felt the presence and opened a screen. 'Oh.. Guess someone's gotta lesson.. This will be fun~' I thought as I smirked and walked away into a portal.

  You continued to stare at Frisk as they smiled. "Hi.... Sis..." He greeted as he smiled. You were speechless. "Is that really... you?" You asked as you stepped forward. Frisk's smile widened as a tear slid down his cheek. "(Y/N)... I'm sorry I wasn't there for you.." He said as he stretched his arm wide. "Hug?" He asked as he tilted his head.

  "You... are not him.." You said. He tilted his head in confusion. "Huh, what do you mean?" Frisk asked. Frisk glitched out as you felt fire was burning within you. "Frisk never calls me by name, My brother doesn't like hugs. He doesn't acts this dramatic.. If you were really him..  You shouldn't have that locket with you." You stated as Frisk smirked. Frisk soon glitched into a genocide version, then back to Frisk. "So... You finally figured it out.." They said as they glitched into Error. "You out smarted me! C-C-Congrats.." He said as he smiled. You glared daggers as you felt guilt build up in your chest.

   "Why?" You asked. "Why did you try to trick me?" Error laughed. "I-I-I-I_Iedlx,t .It' s my job!" He answered. You sighed as you stared at the ground, filled with many emotions. "All I wanted was to be happy.. I was really hoping to see my brother.." You said as you summoned your soul. It was half of it.. and had a few creaks in it. Error stared at your soul as your soul formed into a [weapon]. You sighed as you wanted to hurt him. But you didn't dare. The golden locket began to glow as you pulled it out from your clothing. You opened it as you stared at the family photo of you and Frisk. "Don't forget us.."

   Cross POV

   Urgh!! What the hell?! I yelled in my head as I tried to wake up (Y/n). "Come on.. Why do you always to a breakdown?" I asked as I groaned. I sighed as I tired to summon her soul but there was nothing. I was shocked. 'Where was her soul?" I asked my self. I carried her bride style as I created a portal. I was about to walk in until my golden heart locket began to glow. I gently placed (Y/n) to the ground as I sat down next to her. I opened the locket as I stared at the group photo. On the other side of the locket, there was something... It got burned down as I used my thumb to clean it up. There was a small piece of paper. I took it out as I stared at the locket.. It belonged to Frisk but.. I'm sorry of this piece of paper was private.

  I unfolded it as my eye socket went wide form what I saw. I was a photo of everyone but a red crayon was scribbled on everyone's face, including (Y/n).. There was a small message that said.

"Chara is coming. =)" I grit my teeth as I placed the paper down. "Guess Chara is up to something.." I said..
