The next few days were full of love and laughter. Ritwik had extended their stay for another week in Maldives. The entire day they spent either sightseeing or roaming on the island and nights were full of passion. There was not a single place left in their villa where they had not made love. They had enjoyed on the sofa, the private sitout and had even made love in moonlight by their private beach.

Myra was becoming bolder day by day and she herself would sometimes tempt Ritwik to pursue her. She had brought many bikinis and would flaunt them in front of Ritwik. She knew Ritwik had a fascination for her breasts so she would intentionally wear deep cut dresses. Ritwik was enjoying the company of this new Myra. She was a passionate woman who had initially been shy but now she was as eager to make love to him as he was. He loved the way she looked when she was aroused because she was still an innocent whose emotions were easily visible on her face.

Now sightseeing was more pleasurable because they would hold hands while walking and Ritwik would find excuses to kiss her and even touch her.

She never wanted their honeymoon to end because she knew once they were back they would become busy in their respective jobs and would not be able to spend much time together.

But every good thing has to come to an end so this idyllic existence also changed when after three weeks Ritwik had to leave for London due to a new contract with a British firm. He asked her to accompany him since she had a week of her vacation left but she refused on the excuse that she would rather go home, meet her parents and spend some time with them.

Ritwik first dropped Myra Delhi who took a connecting flight to Jodhpur and then left for London the same day. Jaisalmer was a six hours drive from Jodhpur so Myra stayed in Jodhpur for one day

Jodhpur was a colourful city and one of her favourite places but today she felt sad and lonely without Ritwik. She knew she had fallen deeply in love with him. It might be a marriage for the sake of a baby but her emotions were deeply involved. She loved Ritwik but her love was not reciprocated .

Next day when she went to her parents house she was amazed to find so many of her friends and relatives had come over to meet her. She had come home for some peace and quiet but today she was the centre of attraction. All her aunts also seemed to be extra sweet towards her sensing that now she belonged to a rich and famous family. Even amidst this crowd she felt lonely.

At night her mother brought her a glass of milk and sat next to her."Is something troubling you dear?"

"No, mom I am just tired because I have been travelling for two days."

Her cellphone rang and she was overjoyed to see the caller was Ritwik.

"How are you Myra? Have you reached safely?"

"Yes Ritwik I am fine. How about you? How was your meeting?"

"My meeting was just ok. This contract may take longer than expected."

"Oh"

"Why do I get the impression that someone is missing me?"

"No, Ritwik it's just that I will go back this weekend because I have to join office from Monday"

"If you want to stay longer I can speak with Gaurav"

"No I will go back otherwise it will look bad on my part. Already Gaurav has cooperated and given me a month's leave. I can't take undue advantage of his generosity."

"Darling you are now Mrs Ritwik Singhania. No one can refuse you."

They spoke for another fifteen minutes and then wished each other goodnight and went to sleep.

Ritwik was also feeling lonely in London. He had gotten used to Myra. He missed her smile, her arguments, the way her face lit up when she went sightseeing .He missed her sleeping next to him. His bed felt empty.

The next few days passed in a similar manner. On Friday her parents had arranged a small luncheon for her close relatives, friends and neighbours. Myra dressed in a beautiful bottle green colored salwar kameez wearing a sapphire necklace which Ritwik had gifted her on their honeymoon.

Most of her friends and cousins were happy for her except for Shikha who was always jealous of her. When Shikha saw her beautiful necklace she further burned with jealousy.

"Well, well who would have thought of Myra getting married? She was an ambitious girl, fully focused on her career but then no one can blame you Myra, Ritwik is quite a catch. He is not only drop dead handsome but also easily among the richest men in India."

Before Myra could respond Ritwik entered carrying a huge bouquet of lilies ,"It is not only Myra but me also who has got such an intelligent and beautiful wife who makes heads turn at every place. Also a piece of information for you madam. I persuaded Myra to marry me to complete my life because I was mesmerised by her. So it is my luck to have gotten such a perfect wife"

Ritwik's entry could not have been more perfect. At this moment she was not worried what people would say. She simply ran towards him and hugged him in front of everyone.

"Easy ,darling if I get such a welcome everytime I come back I will need to go for trips more often."

The luncheon was quite a success mainly because of Ritwik who spoke to one and all and made everyone feel special.

They planned to leave in the afternoon on Saturday. An hour before they were to leave Shikha entered.

"Hi, Myra ready to go?"

"What do you want Shikha?'

"Nothing I just wanted to give you some magazines to pass you time on the way"

When Myra saw the front page she grew pale .It had a photo of a lady hugging Ritwik in London.

"Now I realise why he married you Myra. You are to be his trophy wife while he enjoys life with someone else.

Poor you."

"Shikha I fully trust my husband. These are tabloids who make money giving false news. There must be a reason for the two hugging each other and I am not going to ask him. You please leave and from now onwards I don't want you coming to our house ."

Shikha was furious, "You will realise your mistake some day"

Ritwik had been listening to their conversation and was happy with the trust she had shown in him.

"Ritwik who is this woman?"

"She ia an old friend you needn't bother about her."

Now Myra didn't like him evading her question."If she is no one why don't you tell me"

" Just leave this .Myra we are getting late. I will wait for you in the taxi"

Myra had to find out the identity of this lady by hook or crook
