HER ONE NIGHT STAND

THE HONEYMOON

Myra woke around 8 PM when Ritwik gently nudged her. "Myra it's time for our flight. We are due to leave in half an hour."

Myra woke with a start in strange surroundings. She didn't recognize this room. Then she remembered this was Ritwik's house and one of his bedrooms.

She freshened up in the ensuite bathroom. She changed to a pant suit for the journey to Maldives.

Myra came out of the room to find a Ritwik dressed in casual jeans and US polo T shirt looking as gorgeous as ever. Was there anything that he wore and he didn't look handsome? ,thought Myra.

His driver dropped them to the airport where they boarded his private jet for the flight. Myra had never expected his jet to be so glamorous. It had a separate living area which seated at least ten people and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom.

The two airhostess offered her something to drink but she refused. Ritwik asked for a glass of wine and opened his laptop to work. After an hour of being airborne they were served dinner comprising of delicious Indian food.

" Myra you may rest in the bedroom if you want I have some work to finish"

"Ritwik I am pregnant not ill. I don't want to sleep . Infact I have nothing to do and since I am not in the habit to sit idle it is difficult to pass my time."

"You are the first lady who would rather work than spend time on makeup or gossiping."

"Ritwik you must be mingling with wrong type of women. I will never be a trophy wife. I am going to work right through this pregnancy and even after my child is born."

Ritwik was amused because she seemed to be quite worked up and this argument had brought some colour in her otherwise pale face.

They reached Maldives early in the morning from where were carried by a sea plane to Centaara Raas Fushi Resort and Spa Maldives.

An exclusive two bedroom presidential water villa had been booked for them for two weeks. After that depending on his work schedule they would decide on the next destination. The views were breathtaking even during morning hours. The ocean was at doorstep and the villa had an exclusive plunge pool for their private use. The bathroom was as big as her entire apartment with an inbuilt Jacuzzi.

They had a butler 24 hours at their service. The master bedroom had beautiful views of the ocean ,a huge four poster bed and all the amenities she could imagine.

The entire villa had beautiful furnishings but the master bedroom was a honeymooners paradise with heart shaped pillow and satin sheets.

A bottle of champagne was placed for their use on the side rack.

All these arrangements were making her nervous. On one hand she was scared because of her inexperience and on the other hand she wanted Ritwik to make love to her. Her awareness of him was growing day by day.

In the past few days she had noticed a new more caring side of him . It was as if she was starting to fall in love with him, a love which was not reciprocated.

Ritwik liked the location of the villa but this staying near to Myra was a major difficulty for him because he was strongly attracted to her. The fact that she was going to bear his child was only increasing this attraction.

However he was planning to give her space for a few days so that she could come to terms with their new relationship.

They had lunch at the beautiful sea side restaurant of the resort. Myra was able to digest some food due to the medicines of the new gynaecologist.

By night time Myra was nervous because it was their first night after the wedding. She did not know how to react. But Ritwik asked her to relax since he wanted to give her some time and space.

They had a quiet dinner in the villa with the butler serving excellent Chinese cuisine. After that they sat down in the front porch , Ritwik with a cup of coffee and Myra with plain water discussing the beauty of the place. Ritwik asked her about her job and her interests while Myra came to know about his vast empire and worldwide offices.

The next few days they went to see new islands. Maldives was a collection of over 1000 islands many of which were very small only a km long while some were huge with many resorts. Ritwik was the adventurous type who enjoyed water sports and parasailing. He also took Myra scuba diving first taking care to confirm with the doctor if it was ok for her. She loved his company because he was very caring towards here. In the next few days they became good friends, eating together, laughing together and enjoying together.

Myra knew that their awareness of each other was growing day by day. Whenever their hands met or body touched his eyes would darken with lust. She herself would cherish such moments.

It was getting difficult to control himself day by day. Myra was not only beautiful but also intelligent. He enjoyed his conversations with her. She was quite knowledgeable having a view over everything. But this good friends act was grating on his nerves. Every night he would take a cold shower and go to bed. It was about ten days since they had been married but he had not touched her.

Since he had announced his engagement he had been celibate. This was the longest period of celibacy for him.

It had been ten days since their marriage and Ritwik had not touched her. She knew she had to take the next step in this relationship. So, today she decided to begin her new journey.

In the morning she refused to go to another island by making an excuse that she was not well. She had booked herself at the resort spa for a full body massage, facial, manicure and pedicure.

She had also bought a new short dress to tempt him and had made arrangements for an intimate dinner on the beach.

Ritwik was confused by her behavior. A day before she seemed to be fine but now she had refused to go with him. He was concerned for her. When he decided to cancel the trip she urged him to go enjoy his day. He had been looking forward to spending the day with her but now he was going alone. He could not force her because she might be unwell due to their activities the previous days. He hoped she would be well by the time he came back so they could enjoy dinner together.
