Next day was Monday a working day for both of them. Myra was to join office after a month .Both had breakfast together though silently.

"Myra I have arranged for a driver to take you to office."

"How many times do I have to tell you that I am perfectly capable of looking after myself. I don't need a driver. When I will not be comfortable I will ask you to arrange someone."

"Myra he is for your comfort. I know you are an independent lady but it is my duty to look after you. You are carrying my child and I don't want to put you in any dangerous situation."

"Ritwik my office is just half an hour from your house so I don't need anyone. I know I am carrying your baby. That's the reason we got married in the first place. "

Ritwik just left the house without saying anything further.

Myra felt bad. She had hoped that Ritwik would contradict her statement that they had married for the baby but he had remained silent reconfirming that he didn't have any feelings for her. He had married her out of duty and not love.

Office was hectic as usual. Gaurav had come to meet her, to introduce her two assistants Priya and Vinay who had handled her projects during her absence.

"Hello Myra how are you?"

"Its nice to be back Gaurav. I can say I missed going to work the past month."

"Oh well you can check the progress on your projects and then we will meet in the evening as I have something interesting lined up for you. Also give a call to Mr Khanna who has been driving everyone mad since you left. He has refused to work with anyone else."

Myra had always enjoyed her work so the day passed very quickly. Vinay had handled his work properly but the same could not be said for Priya. Somehow Myra was not very comfortable with her.

Myra spoke with Mr Khanna who fixed up a meeting for next day to finalise the model for their campaign.

Ritwik had lots of work piled up for him. His recent contracts in London added to his workload but today he could not concentrate. Myra's sad face would pop up while he was working. He knew she was tense about Eliza but he could not disclose his relationship with her. Myra would not understand.

He decided to surprise her by going to pickup her from work and then taking her to a restaurant for dinner.

Gaurav came to Myra's office with two cups of tea and chocolate chip cookies , her favourite.

"Hi dear. How was your day? I see you have pacified Mr Khanna . Also Vinay seems to be quite happy with your guidance. "

"Hi Gaurav, its good to be back. I can see you have managed quite well without me."

"Shut up Myra SN Advertising needs you. Even I need a good friend like you. I missed you. See I have brought your favourite chocolate chip cookies from the bakery at the end of the street. "

His sweet gesture brought tears in her eyes.

"Hey sweetie don't cry. Gaurav is always there for you", saying this he wiped her tears. When this was happening Ritwik entered.

He was furious."Take you hands off my wife Gaurav. How dare you touch her ?"

"Easy man easy I am not touching her . She was crying I was just consoling her. Myra is a good friend and I respect her and care for her."

"Ritwik stop misbehaving. Gaurav is my boss and friend. You should not speak to him like that. By the way what are you doing here?"

"I had come to pick you up. I'm sorry Gaurav I overreacted. It's just that with Myra I tend to be overprotective."

"No, problem yaar. She's your wife but you are one hell of a lucky guy. If she would have been mine I wouldn't make her frown forget about crying."

Myra followed Ritwik to his car."Ritwik why did you behave so badly?"

"What should I do when I find my wife crying on someone elses's shoulder and some other man wiping her tears. You are lucky I didn't punch him. At that moment I felt like tearing him apart. Myra you are mine and no one except me can touch you."

Inwardly Myra felt happy because this meant that Ritwik at least cared for her and desired her even if he didn't love her.

"Do you realize what I felt when I saw you hugging that lady in London?"

"Myra I told you she is no one. You needn't feel threatened by her."

"Why don't you tell me who she is?"

"I am sorry you need to trust me on this."

Afterwards he took her to an Italian restaurant where they had a delicious dinner.

On reaching home he went straight to his study and she went to bed.
