We walked to the food court where we got steak hoagies and sat down.
"So tell me about you. You haven't said much about your family," I said biting into my sandwich.
"Well my parents really don't tell at me for anything, even if it was getting jailed."
"Lucky. Your parents sound-" a voice cut me off.
"LOREN," I saw my old bestfriend Darren running towards me with his arms open. I threw down my sandwich and ran into his arms and threw them around him. We stood there like that before he started crying.
"Hey, its okay your alright now. He isn't going to hurt you anymore," He said.
"Im just glad you are okay too."
We pulled away he started crying and laughing.
"Darren this is Riley."
"Hell0, how are you," Riley asked.
"Better than I have been since Loren moved."
"Oh yeah Darren why are you here," I asked.
"Moved here man," Darren said jumping up and clapping like a five year old. "Mom, come here!"
Darren's mom , Cheryn , came over and when I saw her, My heart melted. She has been like my birth mom to me because she knows how my dad is.
"Loren, come here," She said pulling me into a hug. Like Darren I felt safe in her arms.
"I didnt know you moved here," she said.
"Well my dad broke my phone when we got here and I lost Darren's number."
" Well, you can come with us if you want."
"Hold on," I turned to face Riley. "Riley, do you mind if I go with them?"
"No of course not. Go catch up. I'll text you later." She said and walked away.
