Chapter 2

My eyes widened in both shock and fear, staring at the man who appeared from smoke.

"Acaeus is my name, beautiful. And you're Andreah?" The person who called himself Acaeus gave me a half smile, looking at me as if he knew something. My breathing became more ragged than it already was.

"I-I-I-" I clasped my mouth and tried to breath right. "I'm losing- my-my mind!" I was so scared I could barely talk.

"Well, shit. I really thought she'd be more accepting of this, she looks so scared." Acaeus looked at the naked boy and laughed.

"Of course she's scared you idiot!"

"I can't believe you believed me!" Acaeus laughed harder. "You're naked! You actually lied down beside her, naked! Ah! Aidan, you dumbass!" My ears perked up at the name, and even though I still had trouble breathing from all that was happening, I looked up at the person who I was so afraid of at the moment. I studdied his features, he was definitely handsome. He medium brown hair, tousled into different places so imperfectly perfect. He had beautiful brown eyes, something you'd want to stare at all day. He was so perfect, even his jawline could cut diamonds. I squinted at the naked man's face. He looked awfully familiar. But, I pushed that aside. Having the same name as the little boy who gave me his doll was probably just messing with my head.

'Aiden' looked over at Acaeus with angry eyes. "You're a fucking joke, you know that? You're ridiculous, this could have all have been explained easily if you didn't fuck around man."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, how about you relax? It was just a joke, no need to get heated."

"Are you kidding me Acaeus? Look at Andreah! Look at her and tell me that she's not scared for her life! She's shaking and crying and she can barely talk!" Aiden pointed at me, he was getting so angry, vains were starting to pop out of his neck. Acaeus looked at me, lips tight together, looking as if he felt so guilty at the moment.

"I-she's not scared for her life, man. You know humans, they change their habits and instincts every few years, you've been dead for 2, so this is just her saying hello and you just missed the whole process-"

"I don't need to hear your bullshit right now." He rubbed his temple, closing his eyes in irritance.

"So... do you still want to be naked or do you want clothes on-"

"Yes!" Aidan threw his hands up in the air. Acaeus's lips twitched as he snapped his fingers and clothes appeared on Aidan's body. Aidan dropped the pillow and both boys turned to look at me.

"Will you let us explain?" Aidan asked. I didn't answer, just looked at them. My tears had stopped, probably because I ran out of them. Aiden nodded. "My name is Aidan Caldwell... the little boy who gave you that small wooden toy when you were five years old..." I didn't talk, I just thought if I did, I would just get even more confused then I already was, so I let him tell me what he wanted to tell me. "Listen, I died 2 years ago. But it was an accident, I wasn't due to die for a very long time. Acaeus over here, dropped his scythe on me during a collection, and he killed me. The Gods have given me a chance to come back to life, but the only way to do that, is to use a bit of someone else's soul, to help grow mine back..." I looked at him confused. These people are crazy and magical.

"But, it can't just be any other soul," Acaeus said. "It has to be the soul of the person that Aidan is destined to be with. A. K. A. his soul mate or true love, whatever you want to call it." I exhaled deeply and looked at both with confusion.

"Are you saying that I'm his soul mate?" I pointed at Aiden and Acaeus shook his head.

"No." He said.
