I swallowed hard and watched as Aiden easily walked up to a girl and complimented her hair. She seemed busy, but as soon as she saw him, she smiled and she stopped to talk to him. I couldn't hear them, but their body language and the constant laughing and giggling coming from the both of them was very obvious, and honestly, starting to get under my skin. I felt my face twitch in irritation and decided to look around the park instead.

The view was beautiful. Many people walked by and a few others sat down on the grass on computers and a family or two were having picnics. Joggers passed me every few minutes. People watching was fun. It was interesting seeing how people acted and talked, it was sort of a mini movie every time I moved on to the next person.

"I don't care! He can do whatever he wants, we've been over a week now, I don't care who he kisses or flirts with, I just don't care!"

"Catch Micky!"

"I passed! With a one hundred ONE percent, may I add!"

"Dad! Let go, I can do this, I can!!"

I sighed, hiding behind my sunglasses. So many happy people, in such a sma-

The stench suddenly overpowered my senses, and I horrifyingly turned my head towards it, leaning my body away from it.

A beastly man, unshaven, dirty and dressed for cold weather grinned at Aiden and the girl he was talking to and then turned to me, showing a crooked set of yellow teeth, some of them missing.

"A beautiful day, isn't it, young lady!" He took his hand out and I stared at it. "Hand shake!" He nods head. I took it, out of niceness, and literally felt the dirt transferring to me. I quickly pull my hand away and wipe the wooden bench.

"People seeing, aren't you." He winks at me like he knows something, but what exactly was that that he knew? Disgusted, I ask him what. "Oh you know, I've been watching people, too, and you suddenly caught my eye perversely staring at that couple over there." He cackled a laugh which brought the attention of a lot of people, including Aiden and his lady friend. I pursed my lips and resisted the urge to plug my nose.

"He's my friend, I'm sort of third wheeling." I say. He lowers his head and tries to give me a seducing smile, but instead I'm scared and I stand up.

"Wait!" He yells after me as I try to walk away. Aiden stops talking to the girl and starts walking over to me. "I think it might be love!" He half yells, half whispers. I think about heading over to Aiden, but I'd be ruining his chance with the pretty girl, but instead walks past them. The homeless man throws his head back and laughs hysterically. I fast walk out of the park and look behind, thinking maybe Aiden had followed, but instead, he was cheerfully talking up the girl and the homeless man had moved on to another person to creep out. My pony tail moved side to side as I entered the highway and impatiently pressed the button. Once it gave signal for me to go, I hurried through the walk and angrily stormed to a shortcut to my apartment through an alleyway.

I just could not believe Aiden did not even come to me once to try and help, but instead he keeps chatting up the pretty girl.

God. I shook my head in disbelief, and I was stopped by a man in a dark clothes, hoodie and beanie over his head, wielding two inch pocket knife.

"Give me everything you have!" I gasped. How can this day get any worse?? I backed up against the wall and turned my empty pockets inside out.

"I have nothing! I swear!" I pull my hands up and he groans.

"Damn it! You have something! Strip, now!" He yells, nervously looking around him. I stared at him and stayed up against the wall and I notice the homeless man suddenly appearing behind from him and I scream, startling the thief and he looks behind him frantically. "Fuck! Don't play games bitch!" He shakes as he thrusts the knife at my stomach, but he all of a sudden stops in the middle of it. He shakes, and he wiggles it. He looks just as confused as I was.
