Finding out.

Danse woke up the morning after Aoibheann had come to discover his younger brother was not present in their room. He sighed, sitting up and stretching. "Where has he gone, now?" he wondered aloud, throwing his legs over the side of the bed and standing up. All night, he had found himself thinking about Aoibheann. How beautiful she was. How kind she was. There was nobody else like her in the capital, for sure.

Once dressed and ready, he made his way out into the street to go to Soo-ho's home. He had a match that day with his friends and Ban Ryu's clique, which he hated. They always lost, why did they even bother? Sooho was always too busy trying to show Ban Ryu up instead of playing properly. He found himself outside Soo-ho's home within minutes. He knocked gently on the door, and within seconds Soo-ho and Janghyun stood before him. "Are you ready?" Soo-ho asked him, smiling gently. Danse nodded "yes, I am".

Before long, the trio stood at the soccer pitch, ready to play. Ban Ryu approached slowly with his clique, smirking cockily "let the best man win". Danse could feel Soo-ho's blood boil. He had walked himself into this, he would have to lose. "Indeed" Soo-ho growled, taking a step back "Let us get ready". He turned, Danse and Janghyun following behind him, cringing. "Are you sure we should play?" Danse asked. "We should" he sighed "Aoibheann is coming, apparently. Her sister, too".

"What has miss Aoibheann got to do with anything?" Danse asked, his heart thumping a little. If Soo-ho liked her.. there was no hope for him. "Oh yes! You guys don't know" Soo-ho smiled, stopping mid field and clasping his hands together "Aoibheann and I are engaged to be married, since yesterday!". Danse felt his heart stop, and his breathing become shallow. No. This couldn't be. He felt the need to cry; but knew he couldn't. "Wh-what?" he finally gasped out. "Yes!" Soo-ho was clearly oblivious "she's so beautiful. I think I'm very lucky!". "Wow!" Janghyun exclaimed "congratulations, Soo-ho! She's so beautiful, indeed!". "Y-yeah..Congratulations" Danse managed to squeak out. Soo-ho frowned, looking at him, but then they heard Ban Ryu shout "come on, losers!".

"Okay, guys. We have to win. If I lose in front of my fiancee, I'll be so embarrassed!" Soo-ho told them "so please do your best!". Danse nodded, stalking off to find his position. He looked into the crowd of young women, and his eyes immediately landed on Aoibheann. She looked sad, of course she was sad. She was marrying someone she didn't love, that much Danse knew for certain. He wasn't sure why Soo-ho even agreed -- he was a ladies man. People like that never change.

The game began, and surprise, surprise..they lost. Soo-ho banged his fist against the grass, laying down and listening to the crowd cheering. Danse groaned, realising that Soo-ho was going to be in a bad mood all day. He shot Janghyun a worried look, before the sweaty pair approached Soo-ho. "Are you alright?" Janghyun asked. Soo-ho stared up at the sky and frowned, shaking his head "no. She's going to think I'm a fool". "I don't think you're a fool" they heard a female giggle behind them. Danse and Janghyun turned to see Aoibheann and Caitlin standing behind them. "H-hello!" Soo-ho stuttered out, dragging himself to his feet "miss Aoibheann".

Danse took in her features, smiling softly to himself. She was surely beautiful. Her eyes flickered to Danse, a small smile plastering her pink lips "how are you today, Master Danse?". He heard Soo-ho scoff "Danse is not a master". Aoibheann quirked an eyebrow at him "oh? Well that doesn't matter". She giggled, causing all three boys to stare in awe. How lucky was Soo-ho? Just then, a ball came flying at them, whacking Danse in the head. Much to everyone's surprise, he fell to the ground, completely unconscious.

When his eyes blinked open, Danse was laying on his bed. He could hear two people whispering beside him, giggling and laughing and such. He groaned quietly,  sitting up to see Aoibheann and Hansung talking. They hadn't noticed he was awake, yet. "Do you like him?" he heard Hansung asked, so lay back down and pretended to still be unconscious. "Why do you ask?" Aoibheann giggled "is it that obvious?". Danse's heart skipped many beats as he listened on. "Yes. You came here to with him even though you are engaged to Soo-ho". Aoibheann sighed "You have to fight for what you believe in, for what you love. I believe that Danse and I are meant to be together, but our paths are different. Maybe someday; I can be with him. Or in another life". "I don't know; I think you two would be nice together. Danse is a good man, he would never harm you or anyone. I don't understand what your father has against half breeds" Hansung groaned.

"I guess he's just been listening in around here. Do you think.. I have a chance?" Aoibheann asked him quietly. "I do" Hansung told her. Danse could hear the smile on his lips, weirdly enough. "Okay, I might as well try" she giggled "thank you, Hansung". "Anytime" he then hushed her, as Danse opened his eyes once more. "Brother, you're awake!" he grinned, rushing to his side "Aoibheann and I were so worried!". Danse had to pretend he didn't know that Aoibheann was there, so sat up slowly and smiled warmly at her "thank you for staying with me, miss Aoibheann". She shook her head "anytime, of course". Hansung squeaked a little, obviously remembering his conversation with Aoibheann a few seconds prior.

"I'll leave you two..alone" he wiggled his eyebrows, causing Aoibheann to laugh as he rushed from the room. Her laugh died down to a giggle as her eyes met his. She pulled her stool closer to his bedside, taking his hand in hers "are you alright?". "I am now, knowing you're here" he told her, reaching out and brushing a strand of her hair off her face. Her cheeks flushed slightly, before she squeezed his hand and looked away "you were awake, weren't you?". "Hm?" he questioned, trying to act dumb. "It's okay, I won't be angry" she smiled reassuringly. "Yeah, I was" he admitted "I really like you, miss Aoibheann. I just don't want to get your hopes up that we can be married".

"We can at least try?" she suggested "I mean, I don't want to give up". "Me neither" he admitted once more "I just..want you so badly. Honestly? it was love at first sight". He watched her face light up, and that's  how he knew she felt the same. "Wow..you took the words right out of my mouth" she chuckled. "May I.. kiss you?" he asked her, sitting up a little more. She watched him, before nodding "of course". He leaned forward, capturing her lips in a short yet passionate kiss, before resting his forehead on hers "magical". She nodded "I felt it, too". "Are you a sorceress of some kind?" he chuckled, which made her giggle "I swear I'm not".

"How do we make this work?" he asked, sighing deeply. "I'm not sure. We might have to meet up in secret for a while, figure it out" she told him. "Yes, let's meet tonight on the bridge past Okta". "Sounds perfect to me".
