"Another gutter!" Shawn shouted as I walked back towards him annoyance written all over my face "What were you saying about kicking my ass again?"

"I'm going easy on you Mendes." I scoffed as I shoved his shoulder he smiled before he wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled my body against his

"Oh my god." I quietly exclaimed pushing his hands from off of me "Don't do that."

I cleared my throat and tucked my hair behind my ear as I looked around for laur she was smiling widely at Austin whilst he smiled back at her. she defiently didn't notice.

Shawn huffed "Anna, I can't do this."

"Do what?" I questioned stepping towards him

his face flushed to red as he snatched his jacket up from off of one of the chairs "This, what's the point of being your boyfriend if I can't act like it!"

"Where are you going?" I called after him as he walked towards the exit of the building

"Home, and don't worry about tutoring me I'll figure it out on my own."

"Seriously Shawn!" I exclaimed staring at him angrily as he made his way through the glass doors

"What's his problem?" I could hear Laurs questionable voice speak from behind me

"It's Nothing." I tucked my hair behind my ear and turned around facing laur "He's just being over dramatic."

"About what?" She wondered "The little tutoring session?"

"No," I shook my head brushing past her "It doesn't even matter, let's get back to bowling."

I tried to walk past laur and she wrapped her fingers firmly around my arm halting my from walking any further

"Laur, what ar—"

"Tell me what's going on Anna." Her voice was firm in my ear

"Okay." I squeezed my eyes shut and exhaled "Laur, there's no other way to say this but um Shawn and I are dating—that's why he's angry because I told him he had to hide it from you and he didn't want too so he left."

Laurs mouth was held gaped open as she released my arm from her hand "Oh."

"Oh?" I questioned as she began the walk back towards the bowling lane "That's all you have to say is oh?"

"What else is there for me to possibly say Anna?" She questioned laughing in disbelief "That I'm happy that my best friend is dating my ex boyfriend?"

"Laur, I didn't think you'd care I thought-"

"Anna, just save it please." Laur sighed as she sunk down into an empty chair and stared off into space

"I'm gonna go." I whispered as I slung my purse over my shoulder and turned away from laur

"Anna." I heard Laur's voice call softly "When you first got here and I said stay away from Shawn I said that for a reason Anna I didn't want you to make the same mistake I did—it's not gonna seem like it at first but Shawn's going to make your life a living hell." her voice was lined with sadness for it broke with just about every word that she spoke "Anna I'm just trying to save you from all the hurt that comes with loving Shawn he's not a good guy."

"Well," I replied not once turning to face Laur "I appreciate you trying but this—loving Shawn is a risk I'm willing to take."

"Hey!" I heard Austins voice ring out from behind "You guys quitting on me?"

I turned over my shoulder slightly and watched as his attention diverted between Lauren and I Laur rose to her feet and threw her arms around his neck "Of course not but unfortunately Anna has to go her mom called."

"Aw." Austin pouted "Well this was fun while it lasted I was only ten points away from kicking your ass."

"More like twenty." I joked

"Are you questioning my bowling abilities?" Austin playfully wondered as his eyebrows furrowed

"What bowling abilities?" I countered laughing

"You know what? I call for a rematch this weekend."

"Bring it o-"

"I don't think that's a good idea." Laur interjected "Anna's gonna be busy—right Anna?"

I stared at her confused but I went with it, I knew she was pissed at me.

"Yeah," I muttered "I forgot I had to babysit."

"What a bummer but um we should get back to the game before it expires." Laur lowly spoke to Austin

Austin nodded and wrapped his arm around Laurs shoulder and shifted his attention towards me "I guess I'll just have to rematch you another time then—later Anna Banana."

"Later." I replied waving slightly before I turned around making my way towards the exit of the bowling alley I pushed my way through the doors and the cool Pickering winds blew up against my skin making my body shudder

I had no idea how I was going to get home, I pulled my phone from my pocket and began to dial my moms number

"Anna."

I looked up from my phone and turned over my shoulder only to have my attention focus in on shawn he had his back pressed up against the brick wall that coated the building as he looked over at me
