"She has been through more hell than you'll ever know. But, that is what gives her beauty an edge... You can't touch a woman who can wear pain like the grandest of diamonds around her neck."

. . .

Morning came quickly after and Elissa could not stop tossing and turning within the confines of her sheets. Sweat dripped off her forehead before she could not stand the overwhelmingly heavy silence that hugged the air and stripped it of any comfort that was to be found there.

Heaving herself out of bed, she headed outside dressed in her pajamas. A slight breeze brushed by, lifting small hairs out of her hair. She sat down on the bench that sat on the patio. Curling her arms around her knees, she just sat there and watched as the sun that had been drowning within the night win against the blues of a sleepy sky.

Elissa lost herself in thought as she stared at the beauty in front of her. She had no idea what she was going to do about the packs coming into her pack lands today. Vampires were coming as well and she had to be the peacekeeper between the two species. It wasn't going to be easy. Every light disappeared as she gently settled her head on the wood behind her and shut her eyes. Vampires and werewolves didn't get along and now they were fighting a war together. Air exited her lungs quickly as she quenched the despair. She opened her eyes once more and stared out into the greenery that she called home.

Bright light peeked up above the forest tips. Flame lit up in the sky and heat reached her eyes. Slowly, yawns began to echo through the house as her pack woke up. Bustling could be heard from the kitchen as the pack began to cook dinner and prepare the food storages for the soon-to-be-arriving packs. When the sun had emerged completely from behind the forest, she got up and stretched her arms about before walking back through the pack house and into her room. Along the way, she greeted pack members with a smile.

When she reached her room, she changed clothing before heading to the meeting house, the usual meeting spot for the group of leaders within the pack to discuss what was to happen every day.

"Good morning, Beta and my war wolves." She nodded at them all.

"Good morning, Alpha," they chorused.

"What are the plans for today?"

Luca started, "Seven Alphas are to be arriving before noon. The remaining two U.S. packs should be here soon after. The European packs should be here this evening. The clans will not arrive within the next two weeks. All are going through the vampire training at the Purebloods territory for a while before joining us here."

Julian continued the review of the day, "The War Wolves will be meeting later this afternoon to talk about training for the packs. Is there anything that you want to have direct input for, Eli?"

"No, I trust this on you. However, I do have a request, unrelated to the overall training. Our pack allies will not be here until this evening, so do not completely trust everyone. Besides that, I wish to keep my true identity as Alpha a secret. I will continue to do my job as Alpha, but I wish to be referred to as the Head Trainer. I will be overseeing training when the time comes, as the reasoning behind the name. However, when the title is not needed, just call me Eli. This is not because I am not proud of Blood Moon. I just wish to keep the onslaught of hatred from the other packs off of the members. Perhaps when the vampires arrive, I will let them all know, but until I tell you, I am not to be referred to as Alpha. Any questions?" She clarified.

They all shook their heads.

"Anything else?" She continued through the day.

Luca looked at all of the war wolves. He turned back and shook his head as well.
