"Alone, by herself, she built the kingdom that she wanted."

. . .

Eli got back to the pack house soon after leaving the training grounds. Alessio went with Luca to go bother some pack member for whatever reason they could come up with. Her four year old and her Beta were like two peas in a pod some days. It told a lot about Luca's maturity. She let out a small chuckle at the thought.

In her room, she grabbed some clothes and a towel and hopped in the shower. After the fight with the four vampires, Eli was sweaty and had dirt coating every inch of her body. It was uncomfortable.

While she was in the shower, she thought about the pack.

Her secret wasn't going to stay hidden long, especially if she kept sparring like she did today. Her wolf could only hold so much power off. It was even harder when she was in wolf form.

Normal werewolves had like another person in their head all the time. Elissa wasn't sure why, but she never had that second conscious, or at least they weren't all that active. Luca had told her some time before that he always had another conscious making comments in his head or driving him to do something. Eli had something like that but rarely conversed with the voice in her head. In her lifetime, she had maybe had a conversation with it twice. The voice would make comments here and there but would rarely answer her if she questioned it. She wasn't sure why, but she was okay with the situation.

Since the inter species training had begun and the first Alpha had reached their borders, Eli had gotten her wolf to basically shut off the output of power that would radiate off of her. If she didn't, it would have been clear as day who the true Alpha was. In the day and age that she was in, the werewolf world was insanely sexist. Eli knew the moment she uncovered her secret, she would be challenged. No one believed that a woman had the power to lead a pack.

The only positive side of the power her pack had was that Luca's position had earned enough power to be confused as the Alpha, which was useful in times likes these.

Eli got out of the shower, heading back to reality when she realized her hands were pruned and her body was clean.

It was five thirty in the evening when Eli was dressed and ready to face people again.

She headed to her office. With the number of werewolves and vampires coming in, she needed to organize more supplies for them all. Thousands of people needed a lot of things, much less, thousands of supernaturals. She dove head first into her paperwork, only having an hour before dinner started and she had to sit at a table with thirty other powerful werewolves and vampires.

As they were on her territory and her pack was hosting, all of the Alphas, Clan leaders, Beta's, and Second in Command vampires and werewolves were expected to dine together every night as a show of respect and unity. It was laughable in the face of average werewolves. Vampires and werewolves were not species that got along easily.

Six thirty came around in no time. Eli packed up paperwork about blood donations being transported and food supplies being shipped to the Blood Moon territory. When it was all neat and tidy, she headed straight for the nice dining hall off of the pack hall, where all pack announcements were held. She was one of the last people to arrive.

The room itself was a regal silver and red theme. The Blood Moon colors. A long dining table stretched the length of the room. It was large enough to fit 100 people comfortably, however, the separation of people on one end to the other would cause anxiety in some. There were windows that opened the room that showed the sun beginning its descent in the sky.
