Got another OfficialBooksGalore GILbert prompt! I forgot to post it in time but I'll post it here now :D
The prompt:
Genre: Action
Item: A package of cotton swabs
Location: A department store
***
Carol was running late. Annoyingly late. How long does it take to get some dang cottonballs and spray paint?! When Carol finally showed up, she barely greeted Cheryl and quickly began unraveling the cotton swabs, not cottonballs, she had bought.
"Why didn't you get cotton balls?!"
"They're spun differently. Whole wrong texture. This is actually faster."
"It better be with how long you were gone."
"I had to hit up the department store."
"The department-?! What the hell happened to the drug store?"
"They don't have the brands I use."
"This is ridiculous. This plan is ridiculous."
"It'll work," Carol slowly began to shape her masterpiece, "nobody can resist chicken nuggets."
Once the cotton was in a general shape she preferred, Carol began to lightly paint it before adding the final layer of cotton and paint.
"What is even the point of all this?!"
"You said you'd be more supportive of my art, Cheryl!"
"Yeah well your art isn't very supportive of our business."
"They're here! Plate your crafting monstrosity and let's get the hell out of here!" Cheryl hissed as she checked the sightlines were clear. She then ran out, not waiting to see if Carol was there. She knew she'd be out before it was too late.
And she was, a moment later she was crouching next to Cheryl behind the exquisite blue rose bushes.
Seconds later, the mark entered the house, after running some unnamed errands, I'm sure.
Cheryl sat quiet and attentive, watching their every move. Carol also sat quiet and attentive, watching their every move while also scratching her nose.
The mark quickly zeroed in on the artificial chicken nuggets, tastefully plated next to the oven. Carol liked to think that there was an amused smile upon their face, but the translucent curtains obscured far too much of the face, and she'd have no idea if that was true.
With the mark expertly distracted, Cheryl had no qualms pulling the trigger.
