I sigh and roll over, unable to sleep for the third night in a row. Usually, I sleep well throughout the night, but these past few days I've just had a hard time sleeping.

I decide to get up and roam around the flat until I feel tired. I make my way to the kitchen to get some food, and end up making a bowl of cereal. Making it was challenge, I didn't want to wake Dan or Phil up, so I had to get the cereal and milk carefully, silently pour it in the bowl, and put the materials back. Once that was finished, I brought it to the living room and sat on the couch. I was eating and scrolling through Tumblr, when I sensed movement in the corner of my eye. I look up to see a sleepy looking Dan, peeking around the corner.

"You couldn't sleep either?" He whisper-shouts.

"No." I whisper back, I pat the space beside me to invite him to sit down. He walks over and sits beside me.

"Well, if we are awake we might as well do something. Any ideas?" I ask. Dan eyes a deck of cards sitting on the coffee table.

"Wanna play cards?" He says, grabbing the box.

"Sure!"

We bring the deck to the dining table, and sit across from each other.

"What should we play?" I ask.

"How about War?"

"I've never played it." I admit.

"It's easy, basically you want to try and win all the cards. I divide the stack evenly among the both of us, we lay our stacks' face down, and reveal the top card. The player with the higher card moves them to their stack." He explains.

"What happens if you both draw the same card?" I ask.

"Then there is a war, hence the nickname. Place the next three cards of your stack face down in front of you, then place the next card face up. Higher card wins and the player gets all of them to their stack."

"Alright, let's play!" I say.

Dan splits the stack between us, and I take mine and set them in a neat stack in front of me.

(Time skip)

We play cards for upwards of an hour, before getting bored and playing a game of Monopoly. God knows by the time we finished that, the sun was almost coming up, resulting in us deciding to just pull an all nighter.

"What time is it?" I ask Dan, who was putting the Monopoly stuff away.

"Almost 7:00am." He answers.

"There's still a while until Phil will be up. What should we do?"

"We can go into the office and play some random computer games?" Dan says.

"Oh yes!" I say excitedly.

Dan follows me into the office, and we sit down and bring up Steam.

"I know a really fun game series that you may like." I say.

"What is it?"

"It's called Nancy Drew. She's a detective and she goes and solves mysteries at people's homes and other places. It's actually really addictive." I offer.

"Sounds fun!" He smiles. We search it up and decide to buy one called, "Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy".

(Time skip)

When you play these games, time flies by, and before we know it, it's 2:00pm. My stomach starts to grumble.

"I'm hungry." I say to Dan.

"Me too, let's go get some food."

We head to the kitchen and make some sandwiches for lunch. Phil joins us as well.

"Hey guys, where have you been all morning?" He asks.

"In the office playing Nancy Drew." I reply.

"Can I join?" He asks.

"Sure!"

Once we finish out lunch, we all go to the office, and Dan and I have to catch Phil up on what's happening in the game, but that doesn't take too long.

For the rest of the day, we play Nancy Drew and order takeout, hardly moving from the sofa all day.

THIS IS REALLY TERRIBLE BUT I HAD TO PUT SOMETHING UP I'M REALLY SORRY.

May we meet again.
