Hazel's pov.

The event kept playing through my head like it was in repeat. I couldn't escape it. The same nightmare over and over again. I felt a light tingling sensation all over my body. Jasper most be holding me. I feel safer knowing he has me but I still can't wake up yet. I feel his presence leave for a bit before returning. I feel him hold my hand.

I try to open my eyes but I just didn't have the energy. I soon let sleep take over. When I start to stir I notice Jasper is still holding my hand. I open my eyes to see him sleeping right beside me. I stare at his face and think about us being together.

"How are you feeling."

He must not have been asleep much to notice I'm awake.

"Better now that I'm back home."

He opens his eyes and stares back at me.

"I'm Alpha now. No one can hurt you anymore."

"Good."

I feel more relieved now. "How's the pack?"

He looks betrayed. "Our numbers are less than half and we will probably be attacked soon again for our land since other Alphas see us as weak right now."

My mood dropped knowing that others could attack at any moment. "Then we should take over my old pack and bring the innocent ones back to strengthen our numbers."

He looks at me in the eyes. "Great idea. I'll take what's left of my warriors and kill your old Alpha and any others that don't want to follow. I won't leave until your healed though."

I smile. He really cares for me. For the next few days it was rough. Anytime I heard footsteps approaching me I would freak out or any sudden loud noises would make me jump. Soon I was able to calm down and chill out.

"I'll be leaving tomorrow with my warriors but I'm leaving the very best one as your guard."

"How long will it take you?"

"I don't know. It shouldn't take more than a few hours to sneak around and kill the ones that need to be killed."

"Just come back safe."

"Don't worry. I'll always come back for you."

I soon go to sleep that night and when I wake up I don't see him. He must have already left to get a head start. I head to the game room and ask my guard to play ping pong with me. He was awful at it and I beat him with a score of 14 to 2. We moved on to pool and he beat me with a score of 4 to 1.

Then we played checkers which I won with a score of 5 to 3, and we played chess which I won with a score of 3 to 0. I was about to suggest another game when my guard said that Jasper was about to arrive. I walk out of the game room and wait for him to walk through the door.

Jasper's pov.

It was hard to watch as some of the simplest thing would scare her, but soon she got better and was fully healed. I gathered my strongest warrior and put him as a guard. I took the rest with me and headed to her old territory again.

I concentrated on one smell, the smell of her old Alpha. I had my warriors spread out and ready for attackers. I snuck up on him and jumped. I tore into his neck and shredded his body. I watched the life drain from his eyes.

Only a few came rushing in and my warriors killed them. I stapled outside and started mind linking what's left of his pack. I tell them that they can either join or die. I also told them that if they aren't loyal than they would be kicked out.

The ones that were left followed me and I brought them to my territory. I mind linked the guard and told him I was almost there. I walk in the door to see my mate waiting for me. I walk over to her and hug her. "Did it go well?" "Yes. More than half came with me, the others are dead." "Maybe now we can get a small break from everything."
