School starts tomorrow. I don't want to go but Nana wants me to get into a good collage and make good decisions. I wish I was smart enough to do that. I've barely passed every year.

But we're hoping that you do good in school and we can help you.

There they are. I haven't heard from my voices in a while. I didn't know if I should be worried or happy. Before I can actually say anything back, I heard a knock on the door. I open with caution. No one ever comes to the house except for me and my brothers.

I open it fully to see four people, a woman, a man, and two boys. One boy has to be at least 8. The other is maybe my age, I can't really tell. "Hello?"

The woman smiles at me. "We're y'all's new neighbors. I'm Wanda, this is my husband, Terry, and my two sons, Dalton and Ryan."

I smiled and invited them in. I went and got Dylan and Connor up. I told them to get up and shower that we had company. Nana was in the kitchen cooking my favorite dish, chicken casserole. She was talking to Wanda. I just noticed I don't know their last name.

I had gone up stairs to change. Now I'm in the living room with Dalton and Ryan. Do they not talk? They haven't said a word since I got down here. Dalton has been on his phone the whole time.

Who gives an 8 year old a phone.

They do obviously.

Shut up.

Ryan just keeps starring like I'm a disease. Maybe he's already talked to the other people in town about us. Should I be scared? OK now ya don't talk. Thanks.

"There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you." Dylan says rushing down the stairs.

As soon as he sees that Ryan is sitting on the same couch as me, he sits in between us. At first I  thought it was weird then I understood why.

He's trying to be a big brother ya ding bat.

No body asked you now did they.

"Dylan this is Dalton and Ryan. They are our new neighbors." Dylan shook both of their hands and scanned them over (I'm not going to tell you how) and he got a good vibe from them.

Shortly after that, Connor came down stairs. Nothing really happened after that. We had supper around seven they left around nine. We all went to bed after they left.

Are you ready for school to start?

I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Good night.

Good night Beth.

Sorry its short but I needed to put something up quick.
