Kazuki opened his eyes to find that he wasn't in his dorm room, but instead, a nicer, different bedroom. He quickly sat up, looking around frantically. The last thing the author remembered was going to school like usual and sitting in class, listening to Itami as he attempted to conduct a lesson. Then how could he have ended up here?
Kazuki got up from the bed and walked over to the door. On it was a small note.
Get your ass downstairs! Don't keep us waiting!
Kazuki was even more confused than before as he opened the door and stepped outside. The place really did look expensive and well kept, but it was eerily quiet.
"Kazuki!"
The brunet turned around to the familiar high pitched voice of Momo Fujikawa. She ran towards him, blue eyes wide and watery.
"I'm so glad you're here too! D-do you know where we are?" Momo asked fearfully.
Kazuki shook his head. "No, I just woke up here, I don't even remember how I got here..." He muttered.
"Me too... let's go downstairs and figure this out!" Momo slipped her hand into his, and despite the situation Kazuki couldn't help but let heat rise to his face. He knew she was only doing it in a friendship way though, Momo could never like someone like him.
Together, the two walked down the hall, soon reaching a stairway. They walked down, and walked through another hallway until it opened into a room. It looked like a lobby or waiting room, with black cushioned chairs along the walls and a desk by the back wall in the middle. The rest of their classmates were standing or sitting around the room. The entire 79th class of Hope's Peak Academy was now there.
"Looks like that's everyone." Haru said, standing in front of everyone. "I'm guessing you two don't know what's going on either."
Kazuki and Momo both shook their heads, walking farther into the room to join the class.
"This feels like the start of a novel or movie or something." Satchiko said, tilting her head. "Ooh, or maybe a game! Wait, that'd mean something bad's gonna happen, and I don't-"
Kaiya put an arm around her to quiet her girlfriend. "Let's just wait until it's explained, okay?" She suggested, and Satchiko nodded.
"And explain I shall do! Upupu!" Kazuki quickly looked to the front desk to see what looked like a stuffed bear standing on top of it. He was half black, half white, with half a sinister grin and one jagged red eye.
"Who the hell are you? What the hell are you?" Natsumi demanded.
"I'm your principal, Monokuma! Show some respect!" The bear exclaimed.
"But Kirigiri's the principal..." Riku pointed out.
"Not anymore!" Monokuma laughed. "All seventeen of you are trapped here now, and there's nothing you can do about it! You have an entire city though, much more than the others."
"T-trapped?!" Momo exclaimed, and Kazuki could tell she was shaking.
"Trapped?" Tomi laughed a bit. "You're kinda stupid if you think you can trap me."
"Well, you're stuck here, and the only way to get out is to kill one of your classmates!" Monokuma said.
Kill someone? Kazuki couldn't believe it. This had to be a joke, but looking at how they were all seemingly kidnapped, it seemed that was unlikely.
