There was a gentle knock on Cas' bedroom door, the dim light against his face peaking up from the laptop on his lap. He looked up to see Dean walk in, with two plates, and a two leader in his hands.
"Hey! Chuck let me in," Dean said, referring to his dad, his mom and dad devorced. Cas smiled, breathing in as he smelled the gentle scent of burgers and the sweet smell of pie.
"I brought you some cherry pie," he said, smiling. Cas smiled, putting the remote to his tv down, and looking up at the boy from the bed he had been stuck in for weeks, with Cristal blue eyes. Dean smiled back, his green eyes held a twinkle he hadn't even noticed had grown there for the boy, having only been watching over him for a few weeks. He sat down on Cas' bed, handing him a plate of pie, still warm.
"Mom made it herself!" He said, excited to see the boy taste the pie for the first time. Cas smiled, his eyes wide from the burst of flavour that hit his taste buds. There was another knock on his door before it opened, in walked Gabriel, Micheal, and Lucifer.
"Luci-.. dad let you come?" Cas asked, his eyes wide as he set the pie down. He hadn't seen his brother in years, being casted out for family problems of his own.
Lucifer smiled, and nodded slowly.
"Gabriel convinced him that it was for your own good," he said, looking at Gabriel, who was halfway through with his third bag of cotton candy. He smiled, through sugar covered lips.
"Sure thing, little bro, just don't ruin it," he said to lucifer.
"Whose this?" Lucifer asked, ignoring his brothers last words.
"Castiels boyfriend," Gabriel said, with a wide smirk, Cas gasped, Dean looking around in shock.
"Me and Cas?-" he bagan.
"No!" Cas said, ending his sentance. They both looked at eachother awkwardly, then looked away again. Lucifer smirked.
"Totally get it," he said, winking, before walking back out, dragging a smirking, hot headed Gabriel with him.
Castiel looked at Dean awkwardly, as Dean pushed a cherry around his plate shyly. He didn't look up, as Cas attempted to cut the awkwardness in the air with his knife.
"So, sports," Cas blurted, and Dean turned to look at him, giving him the 'wtf' glare. Cas let out a small giggle, which led to Dean's giggle. Before they knew it the room was filled with loud laughter, and the awkward silence was gone, it's reason all but forgotten.
When the laughter died down, Deans eyes landed on Cas' and they froze once again, this time, it wasn't as awkward as before. Dean smiled, and looked away.
"So.. wanna watch some tv?" Dean asked, picking up Cas' remote. Cas smiled back, nodding. He moved over so Dean could have room, his heart pounding in his ears as he felt the bed shift more, and the body heat against his skin.
His cast was heavy, making it hard for him to move, so it was incredibly hard to move his leg as Dean's foot touched his, and for a split second, he wondered if Dean could hear his heart beat too. But Dean payed hardly any attention, his attention soully on the tv, as he looked for something to watch. Cas' mind wondered as he stared at the feet touching, bare foot against bare foot.
'Does this mean something?' He thought.
'What do I do? Is this normal? What would a normal person without anxiety do? Do I pretend it's not going on? Do I play footzies? Do I just let it happen?' He stared at his foot in horror, until Dean's worried voice shook his thoughts.
"Cas! Castiel! Novak! Yo, Cassie, you okay?" Dean was asking, his voice grough and filled with worry. Cas looked at him, trying to hide the panic in his blue eyes but failing. For the first time, Dean really noticed the blue in the panicked blue eyed boy. He smiled, though he was still worried.
"What's wrong?" He asked, not expecting Cas' answer.
"I'm... I'm not used to having someone in my bed with me.." he blurted, and automatically wished he could take it back.
"Oh," Dean said, staring at him shocked.
"D-do I need to move?" He asked, and Cas shook his head frantically.
"No! Just... I'm new to this whole friend thing," he said, trying to save his ass. Dean's heart rate dropped at friend.
He hadn't even realized he might have feelings, until they where rejected.
'Friend'
Dean sighed, he was really starting to hate that word.
