Chapter 24

Tori's POV

Too fast, Willow was a whole month old. I was finally losing the baby weight, and Declan was very fond of his baby sister.

Things were so much better now. I wasn't running from anyone trying to find me, I wasn't trying to find someone else. My insane family was gone now, and everyone else who had ever tried to hurt me was out of the way. Willow was safe. Patrick was safe. Pete, Joe, and Andy were safe.

I was safe.

Now I could have a normal life. I could raise my daughter. I could raise Declan too. I could marry Patrick.

I could move on.

Patrick looked up at me and smiled. "What are you so smiley about?" He asked.

"Im just happy that all the drama is finally over." I said.

"Me too." He said.

"Me too!" Pete cried. "Tori, I don't know how you did it, but you've managed to be the only one in your family not completely insane."

I laughed when Megan smacked his arm. "Pete!" She exclaimed.

"What? It's a compliment?" He said.

"It's okay, Megan. Pete's just jealous because he's totally insane." Patrick said.

Everyone laughed at that and we all sat down together. Patrick made us some dinner. Everything was going fine.

Until Megan stumbled next to Declan.

I don't know what came over me. It looked like she might fall on top of Declan, my son. Sitting in the fall zone was Patrick, who was holding Willow.

My family was going to get hurt.

With a scream, I stood up and grabbed Megan's arm, yanking her away. She yelped-i must've grabbed too hard.

"Tori!" Patrick and Pete both called.

I came to my senses. "oh my god. Megan, I'm sorry. I don't know what happened. I thought you were going to fall on Declan." I said.

My heart was racing.

"It's okay, I'm fine." She said.

"Right. Sorry again." I said, sitting back down.

What was wrong with me now?!
