Chapter 10
Harry's P.O.V.
When Elena and I snuck away I don't think the others noticed. Between Niall and Christina falling all over each other and Louis and Katie playing tongue twister, it was easy for Elena and I to sneak away unnoticed. I grabbed her hand and we snuck out the back door and into the car. As we drove I reach my hand over and linked it with hers. "So where are we headed to?" I asked.
"You tell me! You're the one that dragged me out of there." She smiled. I loved that smile. "Oh spontaneous one." She leaned over and planted her lips on my cheek for a sweet kiss.
"I was thinking some place private. Some place where we could just talk." I suggested.
"I go where you go love." She smiled and leaned her head against the window. I could see her face in the mirror as she drifted off to sleep. I drove for an hour or two before stopping in a wooded area. I let go of Elena's hand as I parked the car on the side of the road. The movement startled my angel and she woke up a confused mess.
"Where are we? Have I been asleep long?" She yawned and streched before leaning over and resting her head on my arm. I brushed the stray hair from her face.
"I told you, somewhere private." For miles I saw no cars, no houses, no signs of life. I had been the only one on this road for a while. "I have a blanket in the back of the car, wanna take a hike?"
"Sure." She looked up at me, her head still on my arm. She lifted her chin towards me and I stole a kiss. Two kisses. Three kisses. She was sweeter than sugar, and I was stuck to her like honey. I finally pulled away.
"That hike?"
"Oh yeah." She grinned then let go of my hand. She got out of the car and met me at the back.
I wrapped the blanket around our shoulders as I realized that night was closing in on us and the air was cold. We only walked for ten minutes before she asked if we could stop in a clearing. I agreed and laid the blanket out onto the field of wild flowers. I layed down on the blanket with my arms under my head, my body straight. She settled down next to me facing sideways, her head on my chest. She turned to face me. I could feel her warmth radiating through her. I twirled her blonde locks in my fingers.
"Harry?"
"Yes gorgeous?"
"Will we ever have kids?" She looked into my eyes then away, towards the night sky, sighing.
"When we're older, I'm sure." I didn't know where she was going with this.
"I want to build a house right here, in the wildflowers."
"Anything for you love."
"Anything?"
"Anything." I reassured her.
"I want a dog and a cat. I want a chimney for the winter. A river for the summer. I want you and you only, for the rest of my life."
"I would ask for nothing less." I looked down at her and brushed the strokes of hair from her forehead. She still gazed longingly at the night sky.
"When we get married? Are we getting married Harry?" She turned to look at me again. Her green eyes meeting mine.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you Elena Clark. You are the most magnificent, amazing, and gorgeous girl I have ever met. If I have to give up everything I will. I will give the world to you, because you are my world." She rolled over and was on top of me, her face centimeters from mine.
"I love you Harry Styles." And with that she kissed me. It wasn't a sweet kiss, or a playful kiss. It was a romantic kiss. It was a passionate kiss. It was a meaningful kiss. This is the girl I was going to spend the rest of my life with and I wanted to capture every moment and keep it under lock and key.
She adjusted herself next to me, burrowing her head into my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around her, kissed her forehead, and covered us both with the blanket. We dozed off on the dandelion dotted ground, the night protecting us as we slept.
