Jealousy

30 4 1

It follows me wherever I go
No matter the time or place
It always steals the show
And reveals its ugly face

I should be grateful for everything here
But for some reason I always want more
It whispers to me and I lend an ear
And all self-values are left at the door

I now lug around this faulty mask
Trying to hide the greed underneath
Controlling these emotions is not any easy task
Lurking behind is jealousy rearing its teeth
