about a year ago I was diagnosed with lupus where The immune system normally fights off dangerous infections and bacteria to keep the body healthy. An autoimmune disease occurs when the immune system attacks the body because it confuses it for something foreign. There are many autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
The term lupus has been used to identify a number of immune diseases that have similar clinical presentations and laboratory features, but SLE is the most common type of lupus. People are often referring to SLE when they say lupus.
SLE is a chronic disease that can have phases of worsening symptoms that alternate with periods of mild symptoms. Most people with SLE are able to live a normal life with treatment.
When I was diagnosed with lupus i didn't tell anyone i kept it a secret systems of lupus can vary and can change over time. Common symptoms include severe fatigue joint pain joint swelling, headaches, a rash on the cheeks and nose, which is called a "butterfly rash"hair lossanemiablood-clotting problemsfingers turning white or blue and tingling when cold, which is known as Raynaud's phenomenon
I frequently got ivs for this and it keeps getting worse and worse and I have to tell someone and the closest person i thought of was Justin I texted him to meet me at my house I have to tell him something he came over right away "what's wrong" he asked
He sat down on the couch and i sat down next to him "um well I've been keeping a secret from everyone including you and I can't do it any more about a year and a half ago i was diagnosed with lupus and I don't exactly know why I never told you but I'm scared" i explained to him he hugged me gently then let go I looked at him confused "you know selena has lupus too right" he told me "i didn't know that" i told him "so what's the plan from here" he asked i shrugged my shoulders "well selena went to this place in Tennessee when it got really bad" he told me

I told my mom i told my friends and family selena bought my house and I packed up and flew to Tennessee i checked in they gave me a room with a bathroom i put my clothes away i turned my phone and my laptop they took all my electronic devices and put them in a locked locker that I don't have the key to then they gave me a schedule l
2 weeks later I'm wearing (pic above #1) I'm slowly getting better i have physical therapy 3 once a week for my joint pain/swelling i take three different medicines, daily check ups blood drawn/ ivs in my hand sometimes I'm weak i get cold easily i have unexplained fevers we ate lunch today I had soup roast beef and sprite then i went back to my room it's hard for me being away from my family and Justin when I get out I'm gonna do things that make me happy
6 months later I spent six long months in that place and I finally feel good about myself I'm alot healthier than I was and I take medicine for it but I feel better I exercise everyday I have a trainer and I get to go home today I was wearing (pic above #2) I was listening to life is worth living with
my ear buds in I hopped on a plane to LA California and went home I was still a little weak but I managed to walk off the plane Justin is picking me up I saw him woah he looks different is March of 2015 i walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his neck
