Please don't read this chapter UNLESS you have read book three City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. This chapter contains major spoilers unless you have read City of Glass.

"He's not feeling well," Clary said, catching at Simon's wrist. "We're going."

"No," Simon said. "No, I - I need to talk to him. To the Inquisitor."

Robert reached into his jacket and drew out a crucifix. Clary stared in shock as he held it up between himself and Simon. "I speak to the Night's Children Council representative, or to the head of the New York clan," he said. "Not to any vampire who comes to knock at my door-"

Simon reached out and plucked the cross out of Robert's hand. "Wrong religion," he said.

Robert and Maryse Lightwood always had some marriage promblems. It was revealed that the Lightwood couple only stood together because of Max. When Max dies in City of Glass, Robert often goes on buissness trips. Most likely to get away from his family. So this snipplet, lt's no surprise that Robert is the new inquistor.

Also a crucifix, (in the christian religion) is a cross where Jesus (Christians God son) dies on. Most vampires are christian so the cross would burn them if they touched it. Simon is Jewish, and the crucifix doesnt burn him.

What does Simon despretly need to talk to the inquistor about?

I'm guessing (so please don't take my word on this) but to me this snipplet sounds like it happens close to the end of the book.... so maybe Simon doesn't die?

Im kinda hopping he doesn't die because that would leave a major hole in everyone's heart.

Things Simon Could Talk To Inquisitor About

1. Simon knows has been in touch with Maureen or Sebestain

Maureen will become a huge part in COHF

2. Simon talked to a warlock and knows something

3. Jace (Like Always) had his mouth get away from them and was sent to Silent City. Or went there to control his power

4. Someone had died and he needs to talk to Robert about it.
