"natsu, i miss lucy." natsu nodded to the blue exceed.

"i know, happy. i miss her too."

natsu lit his fist, fire coating his knuckles and fingers as he screamed out, jumping through the air. he raised his arm above his head, and swung it downwards; and smashing a boulder into pieces.

"i miss her so much."

natsu dropped to his knees and ran his hands through his hair.

"we should go see her then, natsu!" he looked up, shook his head, and scratched his neck. "i don't think now's a good time, happy."

happy didn't like that sentence.

"what do you mean!? your training is almost done!! why not finish a few days earlier? if you miss her so much then you wouldn't hesitate to see her--"

"Damare!!" {Translation: shut up!!}

happy froze by the tone of natsu's voice. he clenched his paws tightly and turned away from the pinkette.

"i'm going to go see her myself if you're not coming with me. i'll be gone at dawn. make up your mind by then."

then the exceed disappeared, leaving natsu alone all by himself.

a shadow covered his eyes, and tears begun to roll down his cheeks. he clenched his hands and punched the ground. "kuso.." {Translation: damn it..}

"here's my keys.. my condolences; i couldn't finish paying the rent..." she sadly smiled, dropping a ring of keys into the landlady's palm. "hmph!" the woman spun around on her heels, and stormed back into the apartment. the door slammed shut behind her.

lucy visibly flinched.

she grabbed the handle on her suitcase, and begun to slowly walk down the cobblestoned street. her eyes were shadowed, and her lips trembled.

'where do i go now? i have no money left and..' her stomach growled. 'i'm starving...'

she flipped through every single possibility in her brain, and one stood out to her the most; fairytail. but the idea quickly faded away—she remembered the guild has disbanded. fairytail was no more.

the remembrance of the guild only brought her mood down—as if it wasn't negative enough already—.

she found herself standing in front of a very familiar building. a dirt path lead to an old-fashioned home, one of which had a tree growing through the centre of it.

dust covered a sign near the end of the path, and lucy brushed it off. the sign read;

natsu & happy ❜.
