|seven|

natsu's eyes lifted open, and a soft groan escaped his pale lips. his head throbbed in pain, and his knees ached badly. he looked around with drowsy eyes, and saw that he wasn't where he was before.

chains were locked around his wrists and ankles. natsu was on his knees, his arms drooped down beside him. his clothes were tattered, holes in various places. scratches coated his skin, and natsu felt crust on his forehead, meaning he must've taken a blow to the head somehow.

but natsu just couldn't remember how.

he tried to move but pain sprouted and spread throughout his body, making natsu cry out.

"wh-what..?" he looked at the chains that bound him to the stoned wall, and saw tiny particles of black floating around them.

'thats right..' natsu thought, looking down at his knees in thought. 'ryder took me and happy.. he must've put a spell on these chains too.'

natsu froze, recalling his blue-furred companion. he looked around, and found him nowhere in sight. anger begun to wash over him.

"happy.." he whispered, his eyes narrowing.

"happy!!" he pushed himself forward, ignoring the intense pain in his wrists and stood, using his strength to pull at the chains with all his might, thinking it'd budge and snap off it's hinges any moment now.

he pulled harder, screaming in pain and fury.

but they just wouldn't budge.

the metal of the chains dug into his flesh, and he groaned in discomfort. they were heavy, like two tons of bricks were on his wrists and ankles. natsu attempted to pull against the metal substance again, but his energy was completely depleted.

the flesh under the binds became raw and soon bled, and natsu hissed in pain every time he made a slight movement to stand.

natsu soon became irritated and screamed in frustration and direness.

"let me out of here!" he screamed out, veins popping from his neck and forehead.

"ryder!!"

in a sudden moment, black particles formed outside the cold bars that trapped him, and natsu already knew who arrived.

"ryder." his name rolled off his tongue in such a deadly manner, but ryder did not flinch or shiver the slightest. as the said mage appeared before natsu, natsu flung himself forward and hissed in pain, the chains that bound him, yet again restraint him.

"let. me. go." natsu growled with a deathly glare.
a scowl made it's way upon ryders face, and he crossed his arms.
"and why exactly would i do that, natsu dragneel?" natsu clenched his fists.

"what do you want from me?! what'd you do with happy?!" he screamed, pulling against the chains once more.

ryder fast approached natsu, and swung his foot upwards, kicking natsu in the gut. the pinkette cried out in pain, his eyes wide as he begun to hunch forward as ryder's heel dug into his stomach. blood spat from natsu's mouth and splattered to the ground.

"gu-huh!!"

ryder smirked and brought his foot back, then swung his fist in the air. as he was about to punch natsu, he grabbed ryder's fist in his palm, stopping the punch. natsu grinded his teeth together, the pain in his wrists unbearable. however, even with the immense pain, he tightened his grip on ryders fist.

"i'll repeat myself.." natsu let out a lowly growl, and slowly looked up to him.

"what do you want with happy and i?!"

ryder smirked again, and brought his other hand up, surprising the dragon slayer, and punched natsu flat out in the face, knocking him out cold. ryder cackled at him, as he kicked natsu in the stomach again.

"your power." he said devilishly. "i want your demon's power."

then he disappeared from sight in a cloud of black particles.
