"Kya?!"

"Kya Washington?!" I didn't understand why I had to keep calling my daughters name. She told me she was leaving around 7 but it was only 6 Something when I checked my phone last. I would definitely be upset if she left without telling me especially since I wouldn't know where she went or who she was with. I was mad so instead of knocking on the door I just opened it. I wasn't the least bit shocked when I seen that she wasn't in bed. I hated when she left her bedroom window open when she left so I walked over to close it before I left her room. As I was walking back towards the door I noticed a stack of mail sitting on her dresser, as I went to grab the mail I noticed an opened envelope. I flipped it over to see Kyas name on it so I shrugged it off until my eyes came across the paper underneath it.

"I know who killed your dad" who the fuck was this writing this letter. Grabbing the mail and this stupid ass letter I left my daughters room and headed to mines.

"You know I wouldn't contact you if I thought I would be able to handle shit on my own. But I think one of our old friends is Tryna contact Kya. Hit me back."

I kept rereading the letter as if some clues would jump off the page. However, I already knew who wrote this letter. I would always remember this stupid ass illegible handwriting.
