I am so sorry for what you are about to read.

Ivan was out in the woods looking for his secret sunflowers when he realized that it was going to snow soon and he had no idea where the falling icicle he is. He began to freak out a little, worried as to what his boss would do when he found out that he was missing. Ivan did not want to feel the pain of hundreds of his people again. He calmed himself and looked around. He smelled something that wasn't woodsy at all. Smoke. That meant one of three things, someone has set up a camp, an occupied cabin is nearby, or a forest fire has started. He followed his nose to a cabin which appeared to be inviting. He watched through the windows from afar to see a (h/l)(h/c) person going about their business. After a while of young Ivan watching them, they turned around and checked the snowfall outside and noticed the young country outside. They hurried to the door and opened it to find three feet of snow already piled up against it. Their voice rang clear through the crisp air.

"Are you alright? Where's your parents? Aren't you cold, little one? How long have you been there?" They lifted the country with ease and hurried to get him inside where he could thaw some. They placed the country in a mountain of blankets before the crackling fireplace. They handed the boyish sized lifeform some warm herbal tea

"Spasibo, but I must get going-" Ivan tried to get up and leave, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him.

"There is no one around for miles and in this weather you could easily freeze to death. Besides you sound like a foreigner which greatly decreases your chance of survival. Stay here until the snow hardens." Their (e/c) orbs filled with concern and frustration with whoever left this poor boy out in the damned snow.

"What is your name?" The platinum blonde's head tilted slightly as his voice asked the question before he could stop it.

"That is none of your concern young one." They nervously smiled and refilled the country's tea.

"You are helping me, so it is." He pressed.

"(y/n) (l/n), anything else?"

"Who exactly are you?"

They pondered the question posed by the young boy.

"I'll tell you as long as you promise not to tell anyone at all." They tentatively paused waiting for his promise.

"Obeshchayu, I promise." Ivan placed his hand on his heart (or where one would have a heart) and bowed his head slightly.

"Alright, where do I start? Oh, I am the personification of this region of land." His eyes widened.

"Does that make you my parent?" The question made them furrow their brows.

"In a sense, I guess..." They shrugged.

"I'm Russia." He gave them a small smile.

"Your boss is going to hurt you if you don't get back."

"I know." He hung his head.

"I'll go with you." That statement made Ivan's head shoot up.

"He'll hurt you!" Ivan stood a wildly worried look about him.

"I won't let him." With that (y/n) looked out the window and saw the sun was reaching over the horizon. They went over to their coat rack and  retrieved two scarves. They placed the longer peach colored scarf around his neck with a soft smile. "I'll see you again, Sunflower."
