Grayson's POV

I jolted awake as my nightmare came back to reality. I flung my legs over the side of the bed looking at my phone. 12:48am.

UGH! Why?? I pushed my self out of bed and quietly walked out of my room and down the hall. I made my way into the kitchen to get something to drink.

I leaned up against the counter just thinking about everything that has happened so far. I'm so glad Sky came into my life I can't imagine losing her! She's my everything, my princess, my baby girl!

I love her to the end of the world! I can't let her go. I hope she likes me back the same way, and I can tell she does from the passionate kissed we shared earlier.

I just hope it wasn't the last...

I'm brought out of my thoughts as I hear a piercing scream. I dropped my glass as I sprinted up the stairs and towards Sky's room.

I flung the door open turning on the light...

Skylar's POV

I jolted awake screaming in terror as I thought I was dead from the realistic nightmare.

Grayson barges into my room and turns on the light. He doesn't even ask any questions, he just runs over and engulfs me into a hug and rocks me back and forth.

He gently rubs my back to calm me down.

"I'm here baby girl... shh shh... I won't let anything happen to you I promise..."

I hadn't realized I was crying until I noticed I stained Grays shirt with my tears.

We sat there for what seemed to be an eternity but was actually only a couple of minutes.

I pulled away and wiped my eyes with my thumbs.

"Thank you Gray..." I looked down in embarrassment from my previous actions.

" Hey..." he put his index finger under my chin lifting my head up so I was looking him in the eyes.

"Theres no need to be ashamed of nightmares... i legit woke up from one right before you did. I use to get them as a child all the time. My mom would come into my room and hold me in her arms and rock me back and forth while she rubbed my back and hummed in my ear..." He smiled at me which obviously made me smile.

"Sky I'm here to protect you I would never let anything or anyone hurt you... okay?"

"Okay..." It came out as a whisper and I smiled at him for reassurance.

"How about you try going back to sleep?" I nodded my head as he got up and help tuck me back in.

He started towards the door and turned around.

"Night princess..."

"Hey Gray...?"

"Hm..?"

"Can you lay with me...? I wanna cuddle with you..."

"Sure thing baby girl..." He came in and shut the door while turning off the lights. He walked around my bed and got under the covers.

"Hey Sky..."

"Yeah...?"

"Do you mind if I take my shirt off? It's kind of hard for me to sleep with it on..." I smiled at him from his goofiness.

"I don't mind Gray." He took his shirt off and laid on his back while I laid my head on his chest.

He moved a piece of my hair behind my ear and kissed my on the forehead.

"Goodnight gumdrop."

"Night Gray..." Soon after that I heard his soft snores, indicating he was fast asleep.

His chest slowly rose up and down as I listened to his soft, gentle heartbeat.

Listening to his heart beat and his soft snores made me extremely tired.

I felt my eye lids get heavy as Grays chest rose one more time and before it sunk again, I was fast asleep.
