I run to the bag, and skid on the the side of my heel, grabbing the knife. The girl from six tries to take it fro me, but I hit her in the nose with it. Now I know she will die. She is on the ground when the first girl from 4 kills her. I jump over a log in my way and run. I don't stop, until I reach ruins of a building. I sit on a stone near it. But just for rest. I look around, and spot a large tree. I climb until the braches get to thin to climb any more. There I start to sift through my bag. I get a blue pillow...what? Along with the rest of the bag's contence: Pills of some sort, a iodine, a bag of dried meat, a bag a crackers, a coil of wire, a coil of yarn, a pair of glasses, and some sort of throat healer. A pretty good bag in my opinion. I take out the pillow, and place it inbetween my head and back right on my neck. If I am not sore, I guess I have an advantage. But it must be good for something else. It is night time now, or to us it's night time. I look up in the sky as the anthem plays. A new feature added to the games, is that you get to see who or what killed the tribute. I see that one from 5, both from 6, one from 8, one from 9, one from 11, both from 12, and one from 13 died. And Rainathy. She was killed by one from 1. The capitol seal come on again, and then it turns back to night. I wake up the next morning early, judging by the sun. I deside to check out the building ruins. It is deffinatly an aceient building, because the bricks are old. The open the door, and look around. I hold the door open just in case. I see someone in the middle of the room. It is one of the tributes. The last girl from 9. I get lower, just in case she has a weapon. But she does not seem to be. She is just sitting there.

"Hello?" I say, taking a step forward. I do not take my hand off of the door. She looks up, and I think that she just now notices me.

"Are you going to kill me?" She asks. She looks to the knife in my hand. I shake my head, and she runs out the door. I follow her carfully. She Is breathing heavily, when I let the door close behind me.

She is shaking. "What happened there?" I ask her.

"I came in, and ther was a bed, and cuboards. There were things in the cuboards, but it was all junk food. Nothing to helpful, and I didn't have a pack, so I turned to leave, but the door wouldn't open. I sat in there for at least an hour, before they started. Projections of the war. Of people dying. Of blood, and bombs." She finishes her story.

I feel bad for her. I don't know what it is about her, she isn't child like. She is tall like me, and skinny. She has dark skin and dark hair, and brown eyes. Nothing very noticeable. But I want to help her. I take out the pack of crackers, and the pack of dried meat. I portion it out, and give some to her, and some for me. I know that I can find food for myself. She looks down at it, but accepts it. Food. The sign of an aliance.

"What's your name?" She asks.

"Kyon Talon. 7."

"Maylie Shuck. 9."

We eat in silence. Then walk some more, until we reach another ruined building. I want to take the chance. And she does too. I open the door. The room is full of vines. She pulls me back.

"I'll go in first, and if I can't get out, I'll shout, and you can open it for me, and we can leave." She says. I nod. She walks in, and I don't here anything, until I hear her scream. I open the door, and she is being strangled by the vines. I cut off the first one, but it takes at least a minute. And there are a lot more vines. In the back of my mind I know that but I keep cutting. I cut until her body goes limp, and I hear a canon. Maylie is dead. I finish cutting, and cary her suprisingly light body out of the building. I wisper a soft goodbye to her and I leave. I leave her.
