My feet pound on the ground, as I hear them behind me, laughing and shouting. I'm going to die. Right here and now. And the sad thing is it's going to be in this god damned arena. My legs burn, I must've been running for at least a mile by now. But I realize that the laughter and shouting have stopped. I look behind me, to find two girls attempting to fight the careers. They're trying to save me. Why?

Footsteps echo in my head, but all I can focus on is those two girls. I turn away just quick enough to see a fist colide with my temple. Everything goes blurry. I manage to stumble a few more, heavy steps, before I colapse all together, and everything is black.

Small hands clutch mine, as I pull someone behind me. I am being pulled myself. I look up at the source of this strength. It is Corriana. I blink twice. This can't be. And Benner is infront of her. And the small one I'm pulling is Kaya. But she is much smaller than she is now. But the most shocking thing is mother and father are walking hand and hand next to us. Where are we going? And why is dad here? He left when Kaya was 8. I assume that we have reached our destination, because we have stopped the train of children. It's the medow. We all sit down, talk and laugh. I recieve my hachet from dad. He made the handle himself. Then we see them. Faceless. Four of them. Dad gets up, and the Faceless raise their guns. I look down into Kaya's green eyes, filling rapidly with fear. The lead Facless and dad talk in hushed voices, too quiet for me to hear. Dad turns to look at us. He tells mom something, then bends down to the four children.

"Kids, come here." He speaks softly, and comfortingly. He takes us into a warm embrace, and then holds Benner by the shoulders, and tells him to protect us.

He gives instructions like this to each of us, and at the time, I didn't reaconize it for what it truly was. A goodbye. He turns to me, and lets his grey gaze fall upon my own glittering grey eyes. I get them from him. In fact, I look strikingly like him. Along with Corriana. Benner and Kaya look like mom, dirty blonde hair, and green eyes.

"Kyon, I need you to promise me, that you will always be there for Kaya okay?" He says. I nod. "And bring my leaveing honnor okay?" I step back.

"You're leaving?" I say, anger boiling it's way into my stomach.

"Just for a little while okay? I'll be back soon." He says. I feel my sadness roll out in the form of silver tears. We bit him goodbye, and watch him be escorted out of the meadow. But now I know. He isn't coming back. He broke his promise.
