Chapter 8

Mackenzie's POV:

It's been two days since I've been awake, my head still hurts but I suck it up. The faster I get out if this hell hole the happier I'll be. I sat up trying to grab the remote at the end of my bed

"Why, and how is it way the hell down there!"

Soon enough I gave up, I lay my head down when I here a knock in the door

"Come in"

My head pounded so I squeezed my eyes shut

"Miss. Miller someone is here to see you"

I had a feeling I knew who it was, I could already feel a smile form across my face

"Send him in"

But to my surprise it was my parents.

"Oh Mackenzie baby!"

My mom took my face in her hands and started kissing my face

"Ok mom!"

"How are you?"

"I'm fine mom.."

Seconds later the doctor left the room, I was alone, with the only people I don't want to be alone with! I know that sounds horrible. My head started spinning! How can I trust them after what they did!

"Hi princess"

I rolled my eyes as my dad kissed my forehead

"Why are you even here?"

My parents gave each other a look

"We are your parents young lady!, we were worried to death! And how dare you talk to your parents like that"

I laughed

"Worried! Were you worried when you handed me over to foster care! Were you worried then? I think not!"

I yelled at her, squeezing my eyes shut from the piercing pain in my head

"It was just for a little while, we needed to figure out some things"

"Figure out what exactly! You left me for 5 years! I don't think that qualifies as a little while! You dropped me off at a foster house and told me to leave! And 5 years later you decided to show up and hope things will be fine! Well you're wrong mom! Or can I even call you that!"

"That is no way"

I cut her off

"To talk to your parents" I mocked

"When you decided to treat us with more respect we will be back"

She snapped walking towards the door

"Why don't you send me away! You seem to be good at that, mine as we'll never come back!"

Seconds later the door slammed behind them, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. seconds later I was fast asleep.

️Jc's POV:

I wish I could say we kissed.. but we didn't, she stopped it before it could happen, she claimed she got a text. a part of me is glad we didn't and that part of me is the part that doesn't want to ruin the friendship we've developed , but thens there's that part that want to hold her close and kiss her over and over again. that's the part of me I try my best to keep hidden. I jumped out of my warm bed and into the shower. I told Naomi I would text her when I wake up, so after I got out of the shower I put on a pink crew neck sweater. my favorite crew neck to be exact. I pulled on some skinny jean, white vans, and a SnapBack. I grabbed my phone and texted her

To Naomi:

*hey*

I placed my phone in my pocket and ran downstairs, I could smell the sweet smell of bacon and pancakes! Yum!

"Morning mom" I said kissing her cheek and grabbing a plate

"Morning sweetie"

"Can I borrow the jeep? the guys and I are planing on going bowling"

"Do the dishes and make sure your brother and sister get breakfast, then we can talk"

She walked out of the kitchen, immediately I did the dishes and called for Jaylen and Joe down for breakfast. once they were set up with their food I went to talk to my mom

"I did the dishes and the twits have their food"

I laughed

"Watch your mouth!, yes you can take the jeep"

"Thank you mom"

I kissed her cheek again and grabbed the keys from her hand and ran to the door

On my way over I bumped into my dad

"In a hurry to see Naomi?"

"Funny dad!, I'm going bowling with the guys"

He chuckled

"Tell Naomi I said hi"

He smirked and walked away

" I will.. if I see her" I mumbled

I ran to the jeep, jumped in, and off I was. I stopped by Kian's house to pick up him and Sam. after I went over to Connors house where ricky and trevor were.

"Where's Naomi?" trevor questioned

"Why does everyone automatically think I'm going to be seeing her today?"

"Um maybe because you've hung out with her everyday since you two met" Connor glanced at me in the mirror

I rolled my eyes, minutes later my phone vibrated in my pocket

"Sam do you mind seeing who that was?"

He nodded and toke my phone out from my pocket

"From Naomi!" He smirked

"Ok give it back Sam!"

"Nope" he said popping the "p"

"Sam seriously give it back!"

"Pay attention to the road" he snapped back!

"From Naomi" he continued

"Hey! :). Would you like to hang out today? I need to talk to you about last night." he read aloud

"Oh snap! what happened last night Jc?" I glared at Ricky in the mirror

"Nothing happened! and nothing will happen!"

"Awh come on Jc! who we gonna tell! You guys are the only friends I got" Kian laughed

"Nothing happened!" I snapped

I grabbed my phone from Sam and placed it back in my pocket

"Aren't you gonna answer back?"

I looked over at Sam

"She can wait"

I answered.. Wow what has gotten into me!

I saw the boys look at each other and give looks, I chose to ignore it.

The rest of the ride was quiet, could this day get any worse? ....
