I hate this.  I hate this.  I hate this, and I freaking hate this. I looked at the faces of my coworkers in the meeting.  Alexis' eyes burning a hole through my back as I explained the best plan to go through for next week.

"So what you're saying is if we took down our most popular selection," Mr. Riles paused emphasizeing his words, "that our sales will increase?"

"Yes sir, if you look here you'll notice how when we added our fall selection back up or sales went down by 5%, and when we took it down everything increased by almost 30%. I've gone over the numbers, and the company will grow in both stocks and profit if we did this."

"Who hired you if you don't mind me asking?"

"What does that have to do with this meeting?" I looked taken back as a familiar feeling started to form in my stomach.

"Because if this fails I will need to talk to them about not trusting any pretty face that walks through our doors." I looked down unsure where this was going. I've always hated being put on the spot it never seemed to end well for me. I looked over to Alexis as a purly white smile replaced her previous frown. "But if this works I will need to have them to have you work on my area of work.  You seem good with numbers, intelligent, and very quick on your feet." I looked at Mr. Riles in confusion but slowly relaxed and let a smile settle on my face. I looked back at Alexis as the frown was back on her face. Bitch.

I reached my hand out shaking Mr. Riles' hand," Trust me sir this will work.  You will not regret this I promise you."

"I'll  take your word for it." He smiled shaking my hand.

I felt lighter as I left the meeting room.  This meeting was one of my most important, because this decline has been going on for a while and we needed the boost. I didn't know Alexis would be in there and frankly I'm happy she was. She clearly had a problem with me that wouldn't be resolved unless I became paler, and if showing her that I was just as intelligent as my lighter peers would cause her to let her guard down then so be it.

I walked into my office to pack up for the end of the day. I had already texted Harry telling him I'd be ready in an hour, and that was 25 minutes ago.  The meeting ended earlier than I thought it would. I sighed looking at Ashton's empty desk. It was quite and a unsettling without Ashton's door music.  Once I finished packing my things up I walked to Calum's office hoping I'd have someone to grab a bite with.  I knocked on his office door waiting a minute or two before I walked in,but his room was empty as well.  Where was everyone today? Niall was out sick, Ashton had 6 meetings today, and Calum well I don't know where Calum is.

Going against my better judgement I went to the lunch room alone. The room was filled with quite whispers, and sounds from the kitchen. I walked to the lunch line ordering a Pesto mozzarella, and tomato panini with a side of chips, and a pink lemonade.

"Thank you all for lunch." I smiled at the cooks and servers. They all looked taken back most likely not used to receiving a thanks.

"It's their job why are you thanking them?" I looked over to see a pale, short, green eyed,  brunette man standing beside me.

"So what if it's their job? They work just as hard as we do if not harder. Don't knock someone down for their job status." With that I turned from him thanking the staff one more time and walking away. I never cared about a social status. Everyone who helps things run deserve respect. It doesn't matter if they are a janitor or a CEO they still worked and help the place run.

I was taking my last bite of my food when I felt a buzzing in my pocket. I accepted the call when I saw Harry's name flash," Hi, I just finished eating are you here? "
