Angelica's P.O.V

To say I was surprised about getting the whole week off with pay is an understatement. The arguments Harry and I had the previous week all pointed to me having piles and piles of work, not time off. I ended up not leaving until Sunday because I had to buy a ticket, inform my parents I was coming down, and find a sitter for slinky.

*Flashback*
I sighed finally zipping up my bag watching as slinky slowly made his way to my bag. His black fur shining in the sunlight and his gray eyes stared curiously at my bag. Jumping onto my bag his bell jiggled as small and low purs left his body. He rubbed his side on my arm trying to gain my full attention. I picked him up walking to towards the kitchen to feed him. He never left the house, but he never wanted to stay around people long. He always runs off into the bookshelf that I changed into a nap area for him years back.

Placing him down on a stool I made my way to the pantry. "So, slinky we have tuna or I can give you Yum Yums?" I turned looking at slinky as he licked his paw. " Yum Yums it is," I grabbed the small bag shaking it to gain his attention. "Come on my chubby kitty," He watched me pour his food into his bowl. Jumping from the counter he pranced to where I was standing to rub on my legs. I placed his bowl on the floor and refilled his water, and left him to eat. I sat on my couch flipping through the channels. I looked back at my room hearing my phone go off. I walked quickly grabbing my phone and answering without checking the ID.

"Hello?"

"Angie when are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow. Are you still okay with watching slinky? You know how he is," I trailed off laughing to myself thinking about the last time she watched him, and he puked on her favorite shoes.

"Yes, I love that pest. Angelica, we never talked about what happened last week."

"I'd rather not talk about it. He made me do so much work, and I'm still surprised he gave me this week off."

"Are you two a thing?"

"No, he's just my really confusing, aggravating, cocky, attractive, annoying boss. Don't think about what happened because it was a mistake. That will never happen again."

"Alright, but please be careful. He might not be famous and all, but big names like him always try to look good."

I shook my head thinking back to the conversation, all I wanted to do was forget. I didn't need to think about Harry as anything else but my boss. I looked up at the tall building feeling nervous about my return to work. I looked at my watch as I quickly walked inside so I wouldn't be late. I listened to my heels against the marble floors as I walked to the elevator. I waved hello to Lizzy, the receptionist, once I passed her desk sending her a small smile when I stepped into the lift.

Looking at my watch I scurried to my office seeing I had less than 5 minutes to clock in. After clocking in on time and gathering the things I'd need for today I went to my shared office with Ashton.

"How was your break?"

"It was amazing," my voice dripping with sarcasm causing Ashton to look at me with curious eyes. Watching me as I set up my work space in a quickened paste.

"I'm taking your trip home wasn't good?"

"It would have if my sweet dear mother wasn't trying to set me up with my ex." I typed at my computer feeling my blood boil from the previous week. My mom's constant nagging about me not getting any younger and she not getting any older. Her inviting him over, letting him stay for dinner, telling him he could sleep in my room. With me in there with him. I loved my mother but these were just things to add to the list of the many reason that I should stay home.
