Gaby's Pov

Ilya sat beside me on the bed. He slipped his socks and shoes off, then lying down on his back. I lied down beside him. He stretched his arm around and I lied my head on his. He rested his hand around my shoulder, leading the side of his head against mine.

"I have an early Christmas gift for you," he said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yep," he replied sitting up. I sat up as well.

He stood up and went over to the nightstand. He pulled out the drawer and grabbed something. He walked back over to me and sat down next to me. He was holding a long, grey box with a darker grey ribbon wrapped around it. He handed it to me. I untied the ribbon and then opened the box. Inside of it was a necklace. It had a silver chain and a single charm that was the size of a thumbnail. The charm was gold and it was a flower. It was a very pretty necklace and it wasn't much, however, this necklace now meant the world to me. I didn't expect big diamonds or anything, I expected a necklace with a simple flower on it.

"It was my grandmother's," Illya finally said. "See, it has five petals. My grandmother said that each petal stood for something. One means beauty, the other means intelligence, the other is kindness, that one means confidence, and the last one is love."

"Wow," I said, "really?"

"No," he replied. "That's all made up...I actually just bought it at the jewelry store down the street."

I laughed.

"Thank you," I said.

I kissed him.

"Whatever the story is behind it," I said, "I love it. I will cherish this forever."

"Good," Illya said kissing me again.

I really loved Illya. I don't think we would ever part, he was the one for me.
