Percy's POV

I marched at the front of the army with my lords alongside of me. It was quiet for a moment except for the sounds of marching until Tartarus spoke up.

"Percy, I would prefer it if you have a head start and get to the area of battle before we do," Tartarus ordered me.

I nodded my head and slowly moved farther and farther away from the army. I walked alone for about three to four hours, not enjoying the silence that enveloped me. I reached the state of Colorado around noon when I suddenly had a feeling that I was being watched. I looked around me, trying to find whoever was watching me. Then, I heard a bush to my left rustle and I immediately tensed. I turned in the direction of the sound and I saw a blur of silver.

"Come out. I know you're there," I called out.

A girl who looked to be around 12 years old and had silver eyes and auburn hair stepped out from the bush.

"Perseus Jackson, we meet again," the silver-eyed girl said.

"How come suddenly everyone knows my name?!?" I complained.

"Do not speak that way to Lady Artemis, boy!" a girl said from behind me. I turned and saw a girl dressed in silver who had a scowl on her face.

"First of all, does it look like I care? And second of all, who the heck are you?" I sneered.

"My name is Phoebe (Phoebe is alive in my story) and I don't care what you think, male pig!" the girl said as she glared at me.

Before I could throw an insult at her, the other girl known as that prideful goddess, Artemis, spoke up.

"Enough!"

Silence followed as we all looked at each other until I decided to break it.

"Why were you watching me?" I asked.

"That was originally not my plan. My hunters and I were on a hunt until one of my hunters informed me that a boy with black hair and black eyes was not far from our location. I knew it was you Perseus, so my hunter led us to your location and we decided to find out where you are headed," Artemis explained to me.

"Wait, you mentioned hunters. Meaning more than one. I'm surrounded by girls, aren't I?" I said as dozens of girls stepped out from their hiding spots, surrounding me, just like I had guessed.

One girl stood out from the crowd because she was the only hunter who had a silver circlet on her head.

"I am Rosa Nightshade, the new lieutenant of the Hunters of Artemis, and daughter of Atlas. Now tell me, what did you do to the old lieutenant and how did my sister, Zoë, die?" the girl said as she glared at me accusingly.

"First of all, I don't even know who the old lieutenant was. Second of all, who is Zoë?" I asked as I noticed that Rosa seemed offended by my answer.

"Milady, didn't you say Percy Jackson knew my sister Zoë and the former lieutenant Thalia?" Rosa asked Artemis with a look of confusion.

"I did not lie to you Rosa. He knew both of them but currently he is not himself and cannot remember them," Artemis whispered to Rosa.

I didn't know what Artemis told Rosa but, I just looked at them as Rosa nodded her head in response.

"Perseus, I want to help you," Artemis told me.
