Ricky kissed Devin's cheek as they sat on Chris' couch, gently rubbing circles into the tops of his hands. "You shouldn't be so tense, Dev. It's just Chris, he's pansexual."
"That's easy for you to say." Devin replied uneasily, breathing out heavily. Their voices were hushed so Chris couldn't hear them from the kitchen. "He's intimidating! I mean, he's got more tattoos than I have even thought of getting, and he's not even nineteen!"
"Baby, shh, you're getting yourself worked up over nothing." He replied softly, caressing his cheek with the pad of his thumb.
Chris came back into the room, setting down glasses of iced tea on the coffee table. "Angelo's gonna be over later, by the way." He said happily, biting his lip at the mention of the beauty named Angelo. "So, Devin. You're dating Ricky."
Devin nodded, his fingers laced with Ricky's gently. "M-Mhm. I care about him a lot." He replied softly.
"Sooo, this has nothing to do with Matt? Look, Ricky is my best friend. You hurt him, you hurt me." He said sternly, getting straight to the point. "And I'm an honest guy, so, I'll be truthful. I don't trust you." He admitted simply.
"Chris, you don't even-"
"He's friends with Matt, good friends. Matt... Matt hurts my angel, and I don't like that. Angelo did nothing wrong, and he's constantly teasing and beating him."
"Chris, Angelo is absolutely beautiful! I-I haven't seen any bruises, or any sign of unhappiness in him." Devin interjected gently, his gaze going down to his lap. He toyed with the hem of his skirt nervously.
"Well... You don't know Ange like I do. He's extremely sensitive, but not to the point of oversensitivity. Oh, and just beacuse I don't trust you doesn't mean I don't like you. You'll simply have to gain my trust."
Devin nodded shyly, cheeks pink. He was confused about the beating, since Angelo never had bruises. Hell, Devin had seen Angelo on basketball shorts and a tank top, and there weren't any bruises.
Devin knew that Chris had a decent reason not to trust him. Devin was rather close with Matt, even if he wouldn't admit it. They went out for six months, and nobody even knew. Devin could never tell Ricky that, it would break his fragile heart.
"Baby, relax." Ricky's voice brought Devin out of the zone he was lost in, causing him to blush even more than he already was. "You've been zoning out. I've kissed your cheek three times," he chuckled.
"O-Oh, I'm sorry, Baby." Devin said softly, kissing his forehead. "I just have a lot on my mind, I guess."
"Well, maybe we can go to my place and talk about it." Ricky suggested, blue eyes glimmering with admiration for the teen. "You're always allowed to talk about things with me."
Devin nodded and opened his mouth to say something, but abruptly shut it when Angelo opened the front door.
"Chrissy!" He called to Chris, who had gone upstairs to touch up his makeup. "Babe, you don't need to pretty yourself up for me!"
Chris practically fell down the stairs with how quick he ran to Angelo, tackling him in a hug. "Hush." He grinned before pressing their lips together lovingly. He then helped him up, bringing him over to the couch.
"Oh... Devin, it's you." Angelo gave a small, nervous smile, then took his place in Chris' lap. Chris whispered something in his ear, which Angelo nodded to. "O-Okay.."
Chris kissed his cheek gently, running his hands up and down his thighs. It was adorable, how they could just ignore everything around them and love each other. "Mmh, I love you."
"I love you too, shithead." Angelo grinned, whining when Chris messed up his hair. "Stop, you ass!"
Ricky laughed a little, resting his head against Devin's shoulder. "Hey, Devs?"
"Mm?" Devin replied, playing with the ends of Ricky's dark hair.
"You're gonna stay with me up until I say that to you, right..?" He asked hesitantly, a bit scared to hear Devin's reply.
"What do you mean?" Devin asked, taking off Ricky's beanie and putting it on his own head.
"Well, I-I really care about you. I don't want you to find out that you don't like me and leave me before I can tell you I love you." He explained softly, lacing their fingers together.
Devin went pink. "Why would you think I'd leave you, Baby? You treat me wonderfully, you make me feel on top of the world."
"Because truthfully, you can easily find someone more attractive than myself." Ricky whispered, nuzzling Devin's neck.
Devin sighed, "Baby, Baby, hush. I'm not leaving you anytime soon, you're just... Absolutely perfect." He gave a sweet smile, petting Ricky's hair lovingly.
"Aww!" Angelo grinned, then turned to Chris, then pat his cheek. "You're such a negative Nancy."
"How?!" Chris whined, sending a slight glare Devin's way. "He... He.. Angelo, you know what the fuck I'm talking about." He sighed.
Devin tensed. Angelo was Matt's stepbrother, and he most likely overheard the conversations between him and Matt. "I-I gotta go!" He blurted, pulling Ricky up from the couch and out the door.
"B-Babe, what the Hell was that?" Ricky asked in concern, kissing Devin's knuckles as they walked down the sidewalk.
"Don't worry about it."
