Devin whimpered quietly as he curled into Ricky's lap, trembling still. Lee had gone home to give the pair some privacy, trusting Ricky that no funny business would go down. Ricky just wanted to care for his lover.

"Baby, who? Please, please tell me, Beautiful.." He whispered, kissing Devin's temple. "I need you safe."

Devin shook his head, nuzzling at Ricky's neck. "N-No. Everything is okay now. Promise,"

"Devin, it isn't! You're hurt, and you're worrying me so much!" Ricky replied, rubbing his back soothingly. "I love you, Devin, I need to know that you're safe."

"I-I am safe. I'm safe here. Ricky, please d-don't worry about it." He managed a small smile, looking up at his partner. "I'm okay."

Ricky sighed and wiped away the blood dripping from Devin's lip, the cut having reopened from his smiling. "If you say so... Just please take it easy for me."

"I will. I love you," Devin whispered, pressing their lips together for a few moments. "Can I have a bath?"

"Of course you can, Sweetheart. With me, or by yourself?" He asked in reply, pulling Devin's dreads away from his face.

Devin leaned up and kissed his lips as a reply, a hand on his chest. "With you, of course. I don't wanna be away from you."

Ricky managed a tiny smile and stood up, holding Devin as he carried him upstairs into the bathroom. "I still have some of your clothes here, and I washed them,"

Devin nodded, shivering as Ricky set him down on the bathroom counter. He watched his lover go into the bedroom, coming back a few moments later with a stack of clothes. "C-Can I have my shorts?"

"I grabbed them for you." Ricky replied, placing the clothes on the counter. "Arms up,"

Devin did as told, allowing Ricky to slowly slip off his shirt. Bruises littered his chest, the usual tissues he stuffed in his bra gone. He held onto Ricky's shoulders as he slowly stood to take off his pants and underwear. His legs were bruised a bit too, but his face and chest definitely got the worst of the beating.

Ricky helped Devin into the tub, laying him in the hot water. He then began to undress, setting his clothes on the counter as he took them off. He smiled a bit as Devin made room for him in the tub, then immediately snuggled up once he was in.

"I love you. I love you." Devin whispered, kissing Ricky's jaw each time he said it. "D-Don't leave me."

"Why on earth would I leave you, Baby? You're the best thing that's ever happened to me!" Ricky soothed lovingly, gently placing a kiss to Devin's lips. "You need to calm down."

"I can't, Ricky..." He murmured, shaking his head. "I-I don't wanna lose you."

"Why are you so worried about losing me all of a sudden? Is there something you need to tell me..?" Ricky asked, confusion laced in his voice.

"N-No! I just... N-Nevermind. Can we just cuddle for a while?"

"Absolutely."

Ricky and Devin's bath ended rather quickly, the feminine teen feeling less achey afterwards. He was still in pain, but Ricky made sure to apply antibiotic cream wherever needed.

"I still hurt, Ricky." Devin whined as he watched his boyfriend carefully place the cream on his eyebrow. "This shit doesn't help."

"Devin, I can't do much more than this. Do you want me to kiss it better?" Ricky asked jokingly, in hopes to lighten Devin's spirit at least a little.

"Yeah."

"Wait, really..? I-I was just-"

"Kiss it better?" He asked, pulling the puppy eyes trick. "For me?"

Ricky rolled his eyes playfully. "Fine, but only because I love you." He snickered.

Devin grinned. Ricky grabbed a butterfly bandage and put it over the cut on Devin's brow, then kissed it.

"There. All better."

"Nope. You've got more bruises to kiss, Baby,"

Ricky smiled sweetly and nodded, lifting Devin's arm and beginning to kiss at all of the black and blue. "I love you," He murmured as he did so, taking a seat on the bed beside his boyfriend. "I love everything about you."

"I love you too. You mean everything to me." Devin replied softly. He watched as Ricky kissed him, blushing at the slightest. Ricky treated him to carefully, as if he was fragile glass that could break at the slightest tap. Devin was fragile, and they both knew that. Ricky really knew how to treat someone.

Why does Matt hate Ricky so much, then? Devin asked himself, closing his eyes. Ricky hangs out with Chris, who is dating Angelo, but that doesn't seem like a valid reason for Matt to have such a hatred for Ricky. As far as Devin knew, Ricky had never done anything to Matt, nor ever associated with him.

"B-Baby?" Devin stammered out.

"Mhm?"

"Uhm... Why does Matt hate you so much..?" He asked slowly, hoping not to offend or upset Ricky. "I just... I don't understand why he dislikes you. I don't understand why anyone dislikes you."

Ricky simply shrugged. "Dunno. I've never really been around him, honestly. My only friends are Chris and Ange, and I think Matt has his reasons to hate them." He explained. "I mean, I know he's homophobic, but why does he hang with you? You're... Very gay, Babe."

Devin giggled a bit, sighing. "I dunno. I... I just wanna focus on now. I'm with you, you're making me feel better. That's all I need right now. You."

"And all I need is you." Ricky whispered before gently pressing their lips together.
