Prologue - River
River Callaway loathed traveling. There was always someone trying to talk to her. It gave her anxiety. She tapped her perfectly shaped nails against the cushioned armed rest of her mother's car. She had been told by many people that she looked just like her parents. She had inherited her mother's dark auburn hair and her father's crystal blue eyes. River had also inherited kindness and stubbornness from her mother and her unmatched determination for the things she loves from her father. Though people were constantly surrounding her, River was a very unsocial person. She didn't do cheer or anything that had to do with other people. She spent her days reading or studying for her classes. River Callaway was the spider sitting in a web of mysteries. Someone just had to shake her web.
