Kay Thomson. Sweet, helpful, loving. This was what people described her as, this dirty blonde, misty eyed girl always accepted people who hid disabilities, people who had problems, etc. and unless you annoyed her, she was your friend.
My name is Landon but Kay calls me "Lan-Lan" ever since we were young for some reason. Me and Kay knew each other since we were babies, our moms were friends before hand and things took off.
I think I may be in love with Kay.
But the one problem is that I know that a few other guys also like her, none the less all the f*ck boys at this school looking for their next prey. Luckily Lance, one of me and Kay's friends, doesn't have a crush on her. But they are pretty close. Well, Lance and Kay's kneecap are, Lance and Karl always say she has a firm kneecap, I have no idea what's that about.
"LAN LAN" Kay's melodic voice pulls me from my thoughts for a moment. I turn my head to look her in her eyes. Her misty eyes avert back to the math worksheet we were suppose to work on, I was on question 2 when Kay had left me behind and was on question 21.
"This is so hard" I groan in agony. "If you payed attention then this wouldn't have happened huh" Kay says as her eyes never left the paper. I copy her page once she finishes and pack up my paper-back books, leather books, papers, etc. Kay walks me to the front door and waves good bye. I walk to the other side of the road till she leaves the doorway.
Then I rush back over to her grassy front yard where I throw my red backpack in the bushes and climb the oddly tall tree as fast as I could. From there I jump on the roof top where I see Kay's window, the window was open just a crack. I open the window trying to be as quiet as possible. I see the door start to open and duck.
"Meow~" luckily it was just her cat. I open the glass window and pull myself up. I then quickly hide in the closet.
Kay walks In a few minutes later a yawn escaping her plump lips. "Pajamas... nah" Kay thought before jumping into bed, still in her skinny jeans. To my dis belief it seemed as if she fell asleep quickly even if the light was on. Minutes pass as I watch her captivating sleeping form.
It was now 10:30pm, moms probably thinking we had a late night study. Elly, my little sister, is going to think something else though.
"Landon how long do you plan to watch me 'sleep'? It's pretty creepy." Kay's voice strikes me out of my thoughts. "H-how did you know I was here?" I asked, eyes widened. "I can see you like plain daylight, why do you think I didn't change. Pervert" Kay's words hit me like a train. I get out of the closet and stare at her now sitting up form. She looked mad, but at the same time amusement sparkled in her eyes. "I am not a pervert!" I argue, pointing my finger at her to seem more threatening. "Then why are you in a girls room at 10:30? None the less watch her sleeping? Le gasp you are thou pervert my good sir" Kay asked a smirk on her face as she checked the time. Drama queen. We argued for a good minute.
Suddenly, we heard foot steps from behind her door, on the white tiles. "Hide!" Kay whispered. I quickly jump under the covers next to her, I was basically breathing down her neck. Kay shuts the light off and acts like she's sleeping. Dark, that was the only word I could use. I hear the door open, it was definitely Kay's father doing a check up on her, I can tell from his breathing. Rob, her father, leaves quick after seeing Kay's sleeping form.
After the door closed once again Kay turned to me. Even in the darkness I could see a scowl on her face, blushing a deep shade of red. I then realized that I was basically cuddling into her. I blushed as well and lied my head onto her "OFF WITH YOUR HEAD" Kay muttered. The then she slapped me, hard. I yelped in pain as I got out from out of the black blankets. I glare from her window and scoff. "That hurt you know" I say rubbing my throbbing cheek. "I told you, your a pervert" Kay says crossing her arms, her face was still as red as a tomato. I only want to make her blush more.
"Come on you love me" I tease, a smirk on my face. Kay's eyes narrow, death lurking within them, her teeth clenched a scowl plastered again. I realize that I didn't make her blush even more, but instead she was pissed, all the blush was gone. "Out." Her voice was laced with anger, this was a rare side to see for anyone but me. I sigh and jump out her window in defeat. Kay shuts the window roughly and closes her white blinds. I look up at the star filled night, a full moon was out, it truly was a romantic night. I walk to the tree that I climbed up once before. Down I went to the lawn. At least it was the weekend and not a weekday, then she would never 'help' me with all my homework again. Or in other words, let me copy.
Wait. I forgot, Chance was suppose to stay the night.
Clapping broke my train of thought, I froze. "Well, well, well. How was she?" The voice asked implying something unpure as I knew it was Chance, he was always implying we did things even when Kay was around. I turn around to see the blonde in the middle of the street, a smirk on his face showing his braces. I frown and walk toward him. Chance laughs "Ha, you can't even get one girl. When are you going to get laid? Ha-" I cut Chance off by covering his mouth and shushing him quietly. "Were still outside Kay's house." I say before walking back to the bushes and picking up my backpack. I then walk back to the snarky Chance. "We didn't do anything by the way" I say, Chance doesn't believe me though "right, right. And I did my homework last night." Chance says as we walked down the street to my home.
It was going to be a long night.
