Years later...
December 24Kay was being trained for roughly 18 hours a day. Being built like a tank, she was about 16 now. She was suppose to be in 11th grade although she never really had the chance to count the days down.
How did they get her to comply? It took a year of silence and darkness, she only got a slice of bread every week. It was always had mold on it. They reminded her that they would kill her friends and family if she didn't. Finally she broke one day.
That brings us here, her first mission was to steal something small and have no one know, while the family was also still home. She waited till the adults went upstairs then snuck inside. She decided to take the Christmas lights, stockings, and gifts.

--Lance POV--
I woke up tired as always. Until I realized it was Christmas! My mom was downstairs already drinking coffee. We unwrapped gifts, my mom had gotten me a chain with a car key on it. SHE GOT ME A CAR! I was so happy since I just got my license. I decided to call Landon. "Hey!" I yell when he answers. "What did you get this time? Bet it's not a girlfriend" Landon replied. I gasp "no, I got a car" I brag. Landon hangs up. 'Jelly much?' I think.I turn on the news to see that a break on had happened. They stole lights, gifts, and the stockings. They call the crook "the grinch". That's classic! I'd be mad if someone stole my gifts. There was no leads, nothing. This household had cameras too! The footage was stolen. "Your a mean one, mr grinch" my mom jokes behind me. I laugh a little from this, "mom, remember to deadbolt the house then, it's happened 3 blocks away from here" I remind her. The day went smoothly, mom locked up the house at 7 today since the robbery. I fell asleep quickly.
Footsteps.
I wake up from tiny footsteps, I check my phone to see it's 2:54am. Weird, mom shouldn't be awake. I turn on my side and close my eyes once again. I hear the door creak open. That was all, the floor didn't creak nothing. It must be the robber. The grinch! I feel the intruder place a hand on my shoulder. 'How did they get there so quickly?!' I think. I move a little with a groan. I realize it must be a girl, there hand was to small. A gasp leave the intruders lips. Definitely a girl. I hear her sneak under the bed.
I wait for the longest time for movement. I was going to catch the grinch, I waited about 40 minutes now. I squint my eyes open just a bit only to meet one steel blue one. The other one wasn't there. My eyes burst open, the robber falls backward onto her butt. I realize she had blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, a cut on her cheek, and was wearing a black turtle neck and tights with black shoes.
She looks at me with wide eyes, well eye.
She looked about my age, about 5'6 where I was 5'7 and still growing... for 2 years they say. She looked oddly familiar, but I can't remember where I've seen her.
She closes her eye and pulls her knees to her chest. "Oh no... I'm going to get a beating for this... hey, you, can you forget I was here? If not I'm going to get put into the room again." She pleads sadly. "Are you the grinch?" I ask. "The grinch? No, I haven't an idea as who that is. Isn't it a cartoon villain?" She asks, her other eye... seems infected. "What happened to your eye?" I ask. She covers her non existent eye embarrassed. "Oh, the man took it since I resisted his orders." She told me. I look at her in shock "who's the man?" I ask her, who in there mind would take someone's eye?!?
"I don't know, I never did" she laughs a little and rubs the back of her neck. I look around for a moment. "Who ever 'the man' is, he is cruel" I mutter "indeed he is, heh, when i first woke up, I was in a cabinet, blindfolded and tied up." She quickly remarks. A small smile appears on her face.
"Hey, maybe you can stay here, until 'the man' is caught. Here I'll show you to the guest bedroom-" I get cut off by her words. "N-no I can't, I'm use to sleeping on floors, the man told me I was like his dog, I sleep on the floor, outside, or on the end of the bed" she tells me. "Okay then, you can sleep on my floors if that's what you want..." I convince her. She smiles again. "That you for your kindness but if the man-" "the man isn't here now is he? Your fine." I cut her off. She sighs, "Fine" she mutters.
"But I'm warning you, your putting yourself in danger"
