Kay stared at the oak door, the doors window showing her enemy. With the practice she had gotten she had gotten she knew she had a chance. Hopefully, he was alone and did not bring backup. For those were the people who taught her the things she knew. If they were here her chances were 20% or lower.
Kay sighed silently. She had to be smart enough, but then again this was the guy who let his prisoner loose from his grasps in a familiar neighborhood.
Kay decided staying in plain sight was like a deer standing in a open meadow in hunting season. Kay creeped around the house looking for a spot she could hide in. 'Quick! Think! Where could I hide...' she thought to herself. Then she knew what she had to do. Her and Steve had made a story once, Kay's character often hid in a closet, hidden in a jacket. Kay crept into the nearest closet and into a loosely hung jacket. Kay grabbed onto the sturdy bar, put both legs in one sleeve ,and placed a arm into the other sleeve.
She heard the front doors window bust open and glass shatter everywhere. Kay realized that hiding might cause her friends to be found first since they were in a usual hiding spot. Right at Kay was going to get down the closet door opened. Kay froze in her place. She felt a hand push her to the side making Kay bite her lip so she doesn't make
A sound.Once the person left, Kay emerged from the cramped stop. She was as quiet as a mouse as she snuck around the house.
----Lances POV---- 6 mins ago
I heard glass shatter as we all stayed in the corner of the attic. It was dusty and messy making us cover our mouths with our shirts. I see Landon in the corner shaking his head at me with a i-told-you-so face. Guess he was right... for once...
I had enough of this! We have the a larger number then them! Plus we have Kay making us unstoppable! I whispered to the group our game plan.
--- "the man"s POV--------
I snuck around the house looking for my pets blue pool she calls her eye to show up. Her eyes were like the ocean and when she cried they stood out even more. That's why I loved seeing her cry from the pain. Too bad I had to keep one for myself, I could have sold her for much more then her price right now.
I hear a creek of the floor tile and turn around only to see a blonde boy hit me with a metal object knocking me out.
----Lance POV----
Yes! I silently cheer inside my mind as I knocked out the main bad guy... it's just like BelowWatch! I hear something shuffle behind me to see a large man about to hit me. Right before he could Kay jumps out from God knows where are starts defending me. I watch as she manipulated his body making him land face first onto the floor.
He was alive but in a deep slumber...
----3rd person----/
"pressure points always help" Kay announced. Landon walked up to Kay to take a look at her new form. She was a few inches shorter and had lost an eye making him cringe "ugh what happened-" "duck!" Kay yelled as she jumped over Landon socking another guys faces with her own hands so hard that he was already passed out.
"It's not safe here let's go, I'm driving" Kay said speed walking to the door before opening it. The group went outside first followed by Kay. Lance opened his car door and let Kay drive to who knows where. All he knew was that he could trust her since she trusted him with her life.
As they drove most of the group slept. There was Lance in the passenger seat, Landon, Chance, and Abby in the back, and Kay driving. It was only Landon and Kay awake. "You met Carson before ya know right?" Landon questioned Kay, she nodded. "I did sadly, how is he and Kayla" Kay asked sending him a side glance in the mirror. "Oh, they are still together but this is Carson and Kaylas last year, their seniors now" Landon explained. Kay took in the information. "Ya know, I use to like Carson at one point right?" Kay asked starring deeply into the road. Landon chucked, "I could tell, I was surprised you never made out all of a sudden, ya know I liked you then" Landon confessed. Kay snorted a little "I knew ya did ya little perv" Kay laughed a little more as Landon joined in.
"You really grew up" Landon muttered u set his breath. Kay stayed silent for the longest time. She was looking at the road... nothing mattered right now. She was close to her destination. Landon checked the time. 4:59 it read. Once they stopped the sun started to come out showing the beautiful pink sky to glow. Kay had tears rolling down her face as she remembered that this sunrise was the one she wanted her wedding to look like. Kay knew she could never have this now, not until the man was gone AND all of his folks. Kay knew for a fact that that was far from over.
Landon stared at Kay, her peach skin laminated from the sky. A tear started to roll down her face, Landon was confused. Was something wrong?
The rest of the group woke up and watched the sunset all together. The only word to describe this moment was family. This was something Kay haven't felt in years. To feel safe, calm, and happy knowing the people your around have your back no matter what...
She loved the idea of this family
