Chapter Six: Hiding.

Axel's P.O.V.

"Dammit Saïx, slow down!" I yelled as we ran through the dark abandoned city.Saïx turned his head around as well as Demyx. Saïx growled.

"We have no time to be slow Axel!" Saïx yelled. Heartless began to swarm the area as we came closer and closer to our portal area. Demyx had stopped and stared at the heartless. I had stopped too.

Saïx eventually stopped too and looked back at us. Demyx summoned his sitar and strummed a few cords on it and a few water clones appeared. They circled around the heartless and began to attack. Demyx turned and looked at Me and Saïx.

"You guys go ahead, I'll catch up. I'll take care of these guys." He said, turning back to the heartless.

Saïx frowned but sighed.

"Just be careful and don't get lost. This place has a habit of changing its routes," Saïx gave one last look at Demyx and then began to run once more.

I had followed, Taking some quick glances back and forth making sure Demyx was ok. I then gathered enough thought that Demyx would be ok.

I stared at numerous buildings In the sunset. The wind blew slowly through my hair as I stood on the clock tower of Twilight Town alone. Saïx went to go find a hotel for us to stay at while I remained..(you guessed it) out of the way. I watched the sunset slightly. I let out a sigh as I began to remember my childhood with Alex.

_____Flash Back_______

July 18th,2000

"I'll race you there!" I yelled letting my Yukata* flow into the wind while I ran. A blur of blue had blew past me. I smirked and Had figured It was Isa. I eventually caught up to him and both our feet had pounded the ground as we crossed the festival booths and the lantern blanketed sky.

A girl with long black hair and brown eyes, nestled in a black kimono with multiple colored flowers stood In the midst of crowed. Both Smiling yet, confused. She had crossed a crowd of people to a odd booth. A booth that nobody would actually go near In this town.

Both me and Isa had stopped and walked towards the booth slowly. Moments later she had stepped out the booth with three star shaped pendents. Each varying a color, one that was purple, another blue, and a red. She looked and smiled at us, calling each our names. Isa and I made our way to her.

"Look what I made you guys," She said.

I took one into my hand and stared at the object. I raised my eyebrow.

"What are these exactly?" I asked.

She handed one to Isa but then continued to look at me. She sighed.

"These are called Wayfinders. The makers give these to special people In their lives to ensure that If they ever get lost along the way, that they would make their way to each other somehow. The lady at the booth taught me how to make these and I thought I'd give you two these as a present." She smiled.

Isa smiled slightly and looked over to me.

"Wasn't that nice of her?" Isa asked."To go out of her way to make us these just for us?"

I nodded and put my arm around her.

"You are sure the only one of your kind Alex. No girl would be this nice to us," I complimented. She blushed slightly but her cheeks remained her rosy pink.

Isa looked over to me.

"Why don't you go get some ice cream Lea?" Isa asked. I sighed but nodded.

"Alright." I had set off the get the ice cream. I had wrapped the pendent around my neck.

Isa looked at Alex longingly, Something hidden behind his eyes. As he had hidden his true feelings for her. He wrapped his strong arms around her and looked Into her eyes. He had bent to her ear.

"I will never let anything hurt you Alex. Nothing will pull us apart not even death. I have a confession to make," Isa began.

She looked at him confused.

"What Is that Isa?" She asked.

He opened his lips to speak In her ear once more.

"I love you." He whispered.

Her eyes widened In shock and she froze, not knowing what to say or do. Isa looked up at her, his forehead against hers. He softly pressed his lips against Alex's and In the lantern light, their lips sealed. I happily walked towards our spot but then froze when I saw them, intertwined In love. I looked down, dropping the ice creams onto the ground and took off running.

The two both broke apart and looked at each other. They looked at the direction where I had ran. Both filled with guilt and regret.

"I'm sorry If I rushed Into It-" Isa said.

Alex shook her head." It's alright Isa, Why don't you let me go talk to him while you finish browsing the place? I'll meet you back at the house." She had taken off Into the darkness, only little light covered her.

Isa sighed and turned to the booths Angered at himself.

Alex's P.O.V.

I rounded the corner, my kimono cascading into the wind. My hair remained a slight mess from the wind but I saw a red light flicker in the darkness. I had followed it slowly and soon found a familiar red head but talking to a red orb of light.

"Kairo, what should I do? I mean after what I saw?" Lea asked the light.

The light flickered.

"I'll tell you what kid, you gotta put what ya saw before ya and move on. You might have a chance with her If you hurry on up and show her you are better than your friend!"

Lea looked at the light slowly.

"The girl cares for you still! Look at that necklace she made you!"

I hid myself in the alley and watched. Lea stood and took the orb into his hands.

"Your right, maybe I should," He said. With a breath he blew the light our and began to walk towards my direction, his hand on his chest.

"Thank you." He whispered.

I then walked towards Lea and he looked at me surprised to see me. I crossed my arms and smiled weakly at him.

"Spill," I said.

He shook his head." I have a guardian that watches me. I'm part Demon that explains why I have a guardian to watch me. That enough?" He asked.

I smiled." Well, enough for now."
