13 Years Earlier
I hate humans they are just stupid selfish creatures and only worry about either money or sex. I can't believe the stupid prophecy is making us watch over those filthy people. The guardians are dead and that's not our fault, we shouldn't have to take their job.
I got assigned to some girl named Madilyn Reed. Right now she is three years old and lives in Austin, Texas. Her old guardian, Gavin Mars, died in the war so I have to take over.
But I'm not a fucking guardian! I am a rebel, I am not good, I am all evil. I can't do this job, I don't understand how the elders expect us to do this. There was a rumor that we don't exactly have to do this. All we have to do is be with the human.
We are to never reveal ourselves, or we will get out wings stripped off. Which I am not going to keep some human safe, if she's in danger well then she's just shit out of luck. I'm just here to sit back and watch.
I remember my father telling me, "Justin, you are going to be all good. You will follow another path to something you never thought would know. You have been made with great power and dark wings. Use those things to help you out in your life span. Don't fail me Justin." I thought deeply and told him, "I promise, I promise you father I will never fail you. I will follow what you see for me."
That was almost ten years ago, well in my angel years. Well I am a rebel, what did father forsee in a rebel like me.
Oh shit I'm going to be late. Madilyn starts ballet lessons today, who puts a three year old in ballet. I expand my large black wings and gather enough courage to even begin my mission.
When I get to the dance studio, I see Madilyn, her brother Josh, and her mother Michelle signing in. Madilyn looks kind of adorable in her little pink tutu. She dances around in circles and falls on her butt. No one noticed but me and she just gets right back up and finishes her circles.
At least I know she isn't a quitter. The dance instructor tells all parents and siblings to wait in the backroom. I stay where I am and watch little Madilyn make friends, her short blond hair sways everytime she turns.
When ballet is over Madilyn and her family head on home, I follow behind flying just above them. I was amazed by their house it looked really homey and comforting. They had lots of family pictures, some of them even had a man.
Was this man Madilyn's father? He wasn't at the dance studio, her mother never got a call, and I don't hear or see one here.
I follow Madilyn up to her room to see she is a very neat child. All her toys are in place, her little desk was organized and her bed was pretty fixed. She walks her tiny legs over to her desk to pick up a picture. It had the same man from downstairs. "Dadda." She whispers quietly.
"You okay baby?" Her mother says from the door. "Dadda." She says again. "Ohh you miss him?" She comes in, sits on the bed and pulls Madilyn into her lap. "Where dadda?" Madilyn asks. Her mother says nothing, she just hugs her close and I see her start to cry a little.
I've never seen anything like this. I thought humans didn't shed tears, I thought they were emotionless. It seems to me that they really care. Humans aren't at all what we thought.
As soon as I know it no one was in the room. I guess I got carried around with my thoughts. I go look for Madilyn and see her on top of the stairs running down. She can't run down those stairs she'll get hurt! I run to her as she missed a step and started to trip, but I lifted her up and carried her down the rest of the stairs. She didn't seem to notice that I had helped, but she looked up at me and for once I noticed she had green eyes. I knew she couldn't see me but I smiled at her.
She turns to run to her mother calling her name. I don't think I'll hate my job, but theres something about her. I'm going to call her Madi and as her 'guardian angel' I vow to always stay by her side and to always protect her.

See wasn't that a good fill in chapter. So, all of this was from Madilyn's guardian/rebel angel Justin. I made sure to add some of his background. I'm not sure if I want chapters to be in her point of view too. Well anyways I hope you liked! Make sure you vote if you did and feel free to comment if you ever feel confused about something so I make sure to fix it.
