Present Day

Sleeping beauty finally rises from her slumber. She walks into her bathroom and looks at herself in the mirror. I wish I could read her mind, I wish she could see herself the way I see her. She might see herself as a wreck or as a slob, but I think she's never looked more beautiful.

She brushes her teeth and starts to get undressed. I turn around because I like for her to have her own privacy. It wouldn't be fair of me to just take advantage of her like that. I hear the shower turn on and wait a few seconds for her to get in.

I smell her rose scented shampoo and I'm just amazed by her beautiful voice. She starts singing "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Rey. Yes Madi, I will still love you when you're no longer young and beautiful.

I take physical form and lay on her queen sized bed. "Justin." I hear someone whisper my name. I sit straight up and see my sister Valarie. "Oh my god, I miss you!" I whisper yell and take her in a huge hug. "Guess what Jus?" I just nod. "Well they found another guardian for Madilyn."

No! I will not leave her. She needs me. I need her, I love her. I would rather die than not be by her side. "No Val. I'm her guardian. I've been her with her for thirteen years I'm not leaving her." She starts to shake her head. "Listen Justin, I know you have gotten a little to attached to this girl, but she's not your job anymore. They found a guardian for her, a real guardian." No!!! I am her guardian! I'm not going anywhere without her by my side. I hear Madi's shower turn off and Valarie and I quickly turn into invisible form.

"Leave Valarie. I'm not going anywhere, you tell the elders this is my mission. Madi is my mission and I am her guardian." She says nothing she just disappears into thin air.

Madi walks out in her white fluffy towel and starts to brush her long blonde hair. She goes into her closet and pulls out black jeans, a white crop top, and her black converse. She gets dressed and puts her hair into a messy bun, grabs her bag and leaves her room.

Her mother downstairs is making blueberry pancakes, Madi's favorite. "Are you going to eat something Madi?" Her mother asked. "No, I love you, see you later." She walks out the door, I know she's starving but she just can't bare to stomach anything.

On her walk to school she plugs in her earphones and turns them up full blast playing her mood music. She's just so broken, I hate seeing her like this. I wish I could just hug her and tell her everything is going to be okay, but then that would just be a lie. I don't if everything is going to be okay, but I really hope so.

She begins to cross the street looking down at her phone. I see a car coming straight for her, dammit Madi can't you pay more attention. She finally looks up and doesn't move, I push her out of the way and the car goes through my body.

She is just lying on the ground probably wondering why she isn't dead, well that's because of me. I guess she doesn't care she gets right back up and continues walking.

When she gets to school, she goes to her locker to pick up her biology books and heads to her class. She goes to her seat next to her bestfriend Bella. They just stay silent for a few minutes. "Can you talk to me?" Bella finally says.

"What." Madi says snapping out if her daydream. "Talk to me that's all I ask for. Ever since Josh disappeared you haven't spoke to me or Josie or anyone else. Madi if something is bothering you I want to help, but how am I supposed to if you don't let me. Tomorrow is your birthday and I would like if you let me give you your gift."

"Awe, Bella I'm so sorry. I know I have been shutting everyone out, and I didn't mean to. I've just felt like I'm dying. Maybe I am." I see her face get all sad again. "No Madi don't say that I don't want you dying on me."

"Ms.Reed and Ms.Johnson, please quiet your voices now." Mr.Reign says, they just nod and get to work.

Madi's day goes by just the same as it always does. She sits by herself or with one of her friends. She won't talk much unless she's called on, studies her witchcraft during study hall and eats a turkey sandwich for lunch.

She's been into this witchcraft stuff for almost two years now. She has actually gotten to the point where she has done awesome spells. Madilyn, Bella, and Josie set a curse on some girl who always bullied them. They cursed her to never speak again unless someone can undo the spell. Madi uses sleep spells to help her sleep if she can't. She wants to do a binding spell with Bella so they can become blood sisters.

But she can't do that, to many things can go wrong. She gets bound to someone else, her channel can break, that kind of magic is dark and shouldn't be played with.

When Madi gets home she goes to her room to take a nap. She has been so tired lately. When I know she's fully asleep I take physical form.

I walk over to where she lay to look at her face. It's being covered by her beautiful hair. I move her  hair behind her ear to reveal her pretty face. I love watching her sleep she just looks so peaceful. "Josh?" She whispers. She opens her eyes and  sees me, like actually sees me.

"Please don't scream." I say and she just looks so confused. "Who the fuck are you and why are you in my room!?"

DUN DUN DUUUUNNN!! Haha. I'm not sure if this chapter was all that great but I wrote this one pretty fast because it past my bedtime. Lol yes I have a bedtime. Well anyways vote for more!!
